I have had the car running with a rough tune on my s-afc2 and 370cc injectors for a couple days, problem is anything over have throttle and my car bogs down. I have the WG set w/ a 4 psi spring and turboxs boost contoller. Funny part is I turn it up to 6-7-8 and it is still the same thing...half throttle it bogs. It will hold full boost though, even at half throttle, and run like it is full throttle. WTF is up? I am almost done installing the MSD w/ the 2bar map to retard timing...do you guys think it is detonating or something. I have only driven it a total of 10 miles or so... just testin it out. Any advice is appreciated.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
The pump is installed, the afpr is turned down so it doesn't interfere with the stock fpr, and the FMU is at 8:1 or so, (I have tried all differnet disks{Vortech}) and it is still the same, 50% trottle no more. BTW this used to happen even before the s-afc2, hence why I installed it, thinking it would help do the trick.

Maybe you have a clogged cat?Put in a test pipe for the time being and see if that fixes it.

Nope, not the cat. First off, I have a brand new 2.5" magnaflow high flow cat, and a full mandrel bent 2.5" exhaust w/ straight threw muffler. I also have a off-road pipe(cat eliminator) pipe as well...same results when its on the car, except a little quicker. On my s-afc2, my throttle signal says WOT at about 50%...but the car did this BEFORE the s-afc...could my throttle position sensor be bad? I am getting frustrated with this MOFO!

Use your s-afc to test the tps sensor.Go to sensor check and look at the voltage. At idle it should read around .500 volts. With the key on and the engine off, press down on the gas pedal,if the voltage goes up smoothly,it should be good.If it jumps around, its bad.I think with the pedal down all the way,the voltage should read between 4.7-5.0 volts.Im not possitive though, ill check later when i go out to my car.Maybe your running too rich?Im running with 35lb injectors with no fmu and im running rich at 7-8 psi.Good luck.

So if running too rich can cause me to bog like this? I know detonation will do it as well...I need a damn wideband! Anyways, the TPS should be fine, since the voltage is accurate, if I press the pedal it goes up and down like it should. Don't know, maybe I'll adjust my NE points and HI/LO adjustments some more...I have it at -30% at 800rpms, which seems to be good, and I gradually increase from there, should I keep it in teh negative range even at higher rpm points? The injectors are pretty damn big for my 2200!

Any chance you have a boost leak?
No boost leak...when I push the gas pedal it WONT let me go past half the pedal, know what I mean? Like it just wont go any further down(pedal), it stays boosted but it bogs like no other. It almost feels the the engine stops/clips out or something, dont know. If there was a boost leak, wouldn't it let me go WOT but not boost or keep pressure?(I have had a charge pipe blow before)

Maybe the motor is leaning out so bad that it bogs down?

wait...the physical pedal wont go past half? if thats the case then your binding the cable somewhere.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Actually if it is lean it will still pull hard, even if detonating. I bet you are blowing out your spark. What is your plug gap at?
FU Tuning
Ok I had something like this happen to me and it was because of fuel cut do to the fact I have a 255 LPH fuel pump and I cut the cup (bad Idea) now when I hit about a 1?4 of a tank maybe just below 1/2 and laid in to it I would get it though 2nd gear but after third it was fine. Now I am not saying that this is your problem but it maybe a idea as to whats happing I think you are running out of fuel some how some way weather it be a cloged fuel filter or a bad fmu I am not sure but at least now you could maybe see that it is a fuel problem.

if your error is mechanical, not electrical, then the fix is mechanical. it's not due to your tuning. if you can only push the pedal halfway down, you've got a cable problem. check into that first.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I had the problem with the pedal not physically moving to full throttle once. It was on my carbed '81 citation, and it turned out a squirel stored some nuts right by the linkage such that it would open part way and then hit the nut.
Im 99% sure thats not your problem, but maybe it will cheer ya up a little.
Does it go faster?
High flow pump, big injectors. 8:1 fmu.
I am going to take a stab in the dark and say you are too rich.
Turn fuel pressure to 40psi at idle.
Gap plugs down to about .035 or .032 take out the fmu once and see what it does.
If you have not messed with the afc a lot, the car should run, but will feel a bit boggy if its getting a lot of fuel.
Are you seeing black smoke when you get on it?
This is just based on personal exp, but I think you are throwing in too much fuel right now unless you are taking a bunch out with the afc. Even still, on that low of boost you dont need the FMU if you have the S-AFC.

Well, it's definetly not the cable, since I can push the pedal all the way down in a non-load situation. I think I have too much fuel, I am running low boost right now and am going to raise it after i can get it tuned at 4 psi, since it is the smallest spring I have for my tial WG. I have finished my MSD install, just waiting for the 2 BAr MAp to get here. Also, I have removed the FMU and am planning on lowering the s-afc till it runs right.(it is set a 0% CR abouve 3000RPM at every NE point) I appreciate everyones imput and ideas... BTW my spark plugs are Denso iridium IT24(2 ranges colder) and are gapped to .032 if this helps any!
