ok, im buying a GM SC...
ive a 97 z24 (read registry for mods)
in there yull read ive a set of RC engineering 270cc injectors already installed...
the kit im buying is used, and does not come with the injectors
will my 270cc's be able to keep up? or am i gonna need to buy new ones?
i dont even know what the SC kit injectors' cc's are...so yeah
also....not going to get the reflash with it...
i dont remember, am i going to NEED it for the car to run correctly?
can you even reflash a 97 ECM? i didnt think i could, but can i?
if i absolutly NEED the timing retarded so things will work properly...would an MSD-DIS2 work all the same?
also, my new oiling system im installing is going to be driven by the serpentine belt...
by doing this ive got to have 2 custom pulleys made, the crank is going to be 2.5" in diameter, the oil pump pulley is gonna be 5" then ive an aem alt. pulley...
obviously i wont be able to find out for sure w/o some R/D but any ideas on if the stock GM SC pulley would be to small......to large? i guess what im trying to ask is, how fast in relation to the stock crank pulley does the SC need to turn to create the right amount of boost...

I think Hanzenrider was running 320 cc's.
you will need the reflash, it will allow your car to adjust fuel tables based on boost, plus to allow the 2 bar Map to function correctly. I dont own the S/C Cavi but I do have access to it and I did the install. I'll try to help ya out.

the flash only works for 00 and newer cars, ive heard mention of JBP having a flash for older cars, but its not GM.
talk to jake, hes running pretty good.
stock pully size for the GM charger is 2.8 i dont know the crank size

here is what u will need to make it a sucess. (well my car is running perfect on 5 psi).
better fuel pump/ walbro or the Blazer one.
i am running the stock injectors with a car tech FMU, i dont have a A/F devise but my spark plugs look awesome compared to a prior fuel set up. the 270 cc ones with a FMU and better fuel pump should be fine, i would like to run them injectors too as i am sure they can handle the high fuel pressure better then stock ones.
u will need a 2k Starter, some guy said u dont, so u might want to prove me wrong, but i picked one up for 35$ and my stock one had 135k miles on it.
egr- u could use a EGR simulator, i tried it but it made my car run rough(along with a few other 96 z24 guys,97/98 z24 guys have had great luck with it? i dunno 96 ecu is the devil.), so i just clear my EGR code each time i start the car and it runs perfect. I could sell my EGR simulator for pretty cheap if u want it, e mail me

that is about it, i am running nothing for timing adjustments/reeeflash /check vavle,but stock stuff. I think i can yeild more power with a water injection set up(i am in the process of collecting parts) as i bet my car is pulling crazy timing as i had a autox ray hooked up a while back.Also i am looking into Jbody performance's computer reflash, they say they can rid my car of the EGR system and run a boosted program on it. i dunno, i am awaiting to hear how this guy likes it on his boosted car.
other then that i am pleased with it. need anything just ask/ e mail and i can help ya.
Basically hes buying my kit i had on my car. Only prob is i traded my car in with the S/C kit map sensor, and injectors. Thanks for the reply Jake, he just wants to make sure it will work before he buys it.

What other parts are you selling with it? Are you selling the brake vacuum tube and the PCV baffle and associated hose that it comes with as well?
Just want to ensure any buyer knows what else they're going to need.
... yes, i would just have to take that booster tube off, rather not though... oh and to use the stock manafold, you need to replace the oil to air seperater with the stock one.

The problem is that if you're not including everything with the kit, it can get expensive to source those parts seperately and people are reluctant to do it.
When you can get a brand new kit for $2200, paying $1500 for a used one and then having to hunt down parts and what not might not end up being a really good deal.
It's still going to be cheaper than buying new, but might not be worth the savings.
Now down in the $1150 range is probably a lot more appealing to people... especially those with 2.3's or older 2.4's that need to do some work on their own regardless of where it comes from.
yeah, unless it includes the reflashed ecu and the and all the extra's I prolly wouldn't pay more than a grand.
