EGR removal....Intake Manifold problems
Tuesday, May 03, 2005 8:22 AM
so i have my new ld9 in and i was hooking everything back up when i found a problem with the manifold. there is a recirculation line that goes from the egr valve into the intake mainfold...when i blocked off the egr with gm's block off plate there is no place to put this recirculation line...obviously.... so i took off the line and then there is a huge hole in the manifold where the line used to be.... so my question... is there also a block off plate for where the recirculating line goes into the manifold... and FYI the the car is a 96z so the manifold is a 96 BUT the new LD9 engine is a 2000+ and never had an egr to start with.... Shifted i know you can help me.... but please dont tell me that i have to buy a 2000+ manifold for this to work.......

12's......here i come

what u doing about the EGR check engine light? ..

I am sorta confused, are u trying to ride the car of the EGR set up? or are u going to retain the EGR stuff? IF u are just swap your 96 intake manfold back on the car.

I actually have one becuse it came on the back of my venom intake manifold as the manifold fits all ld9's. I didnt need it because I have a 98. But I dont think I'd want to sell it incase I ever sell the manifold. Try emailing venom.

Why don't you just seal the whole. You'll never use the egr with it, right? Just put JB weld on it or something. I actually sealed a hole once with a penny and JB weld. lol
worked perfect.
