Okay, to my demise, i could not figure out where my saab manifold was leaking on my ecotec. there are little groves on the manifold that let out exhaust green lines, the red is a hole that goes all the way through, so the exhaust can just go right out it. black it the outline of the ecotec gasket, showing how it lets more exhaust out.
I figured the best way to fix the problem is to make my own gasket, you can buy sheets of this exhaust gasket material at autozone, 15 bucks for a big sheet.
thats not even the right manifold... the correct one is different, but good deal!

what do you mean thats the right manifold?? that is the only saab manifold that will fit the ecotec.
QBE is right, if you search for saab ecotec manifold you'll find the pics.
For some reason there is that exact same manifold but with NO grooves.
Doesn't make it the wrong one, but there is another.
can you link me to this manifold you are talking about, i can't find it
that person could've welded in those holes and grinded it down. and that manifold is missing a hole, the ecotec has 10 studs, that manifold only has 9 holes. thats weird.
my ecotec manifold off my 04 cav has the runners through the exhaust like Cold fusions manifold..i douno about how many holes i would have to go out and check.
That's me in that pic. That is the correct manifold it bolts up perfectly.
Btw my whole setup is for sale e-mail me for details
