i just have a quick short question. I had got my turbo a long time ago from precision. the intake a/r is .60 and the exhaust is .48. i have an ecotec and plan to run 300hp or less. is this turbo to big?

if its a t3 super 60 (which is what it sounds like) that size will work very well for your plans of 300hp or less. its probably one of the best sizes you can get for decent power gains.

Shifted, i dont see how you only spent 2800 so far. I spent 800 just on the turbo. And at least another 2000 to date. I still have to buy 2000 more in parts! this custom setup is looking to never end lol.

It pretty hard to say if the turbo is the right size if you don't know exactly what you have. It could be a 50, 57, 60 trim ect. You need to take measure the compressor wheel to know for sure. It is most likely a little too big got you 300hp or less needs but without knowing the exact size i can't say if it is close or way off.

2.3 HO Intake Manifold - $65

Autometer Ultralite A/F Gauge - $50
Autometer SportComp Fuel 1.5" Pressure Gauge - $40
Mandrel Bent Charge Piping - $90 + $35 = $125
1/4" ID Braided SS Oil Feed - $50
5/8" ID Oil Return - $25
Mushroom Foam Air Filter - $25

t3 .48/ .60 I got it from a shop that i go to. they had just boosted a sunfire and said that it worked great. So i told them to buy me one. I like how much you have spent shifted. My price list is somewhat more.

Turbo w/ all flanges and gaskets- 800
wastegate from turbosmart- 260
twostage boost controller from turbosmart- 200
stage 2 axles for automatic- 300
autometer phantom boost gauge- 60
autometer phantom egt gauge- 100
innovate standalone a/f gauge kit- 340
most stainless intercooler pipes- 220
tranny cooler- 40
custom gauge setup in dash- 100
AEM intake- 40

all together about 2460 and i know im forgetting something. I know i need more parts, ill list what i think i need, if you can see anything i missed, please add.
intercooler from ebay (spearco) 250
exhaust manifold from eX- 300
Fuel pump- 100
rc Injectors 440cc- 400
safc II - 240
fmu- 70
fuel press gauge- 100
exhaust cutout- 150
turbosmart bov- 120
vac lines, oli lines, small things- 100

thats about 1800 in parts that i STILL NEED! thats about 4290 in my turbo kit. I started this only wanting to spend 2500 like most people said and i just wanted the best stuff and each part had to cost me. If you have a good idea to cut the price without cutting the quality of the parts. back to the topic that i started out with, the guy at the shop said the turbo can hold 20psi and 450-500hp. thanks for your help!
