hey whats up guys?
I just installed my plx m300 wideband yesterday. At idle its reading 14.7 which is good. When im cruising it reads 14.7-15.5.Is that good?Under hard accleleration, not even in boost it dont drop below 14.0.Underboost,thats where it gets ugly.It wont even drop below 15.0.I knew its been running lean, thats why i havent been beating on it for the longest time. The only fuel mods are:ho injectors, walbro pump, accel adj fpr,and s-afc.I have a set of ford brown tops ill be putting in.I just got them back from getting cleaned and balanced.I knew the ho injectors were crap for boost, but i didnt know they were that bad.I have to raise my fuel pressure.I had to turn it down a couple of weeks ago because people were saying my car smells like raw fuel when they were driving behind me.What readings are you guys getting, and what fuel mods do you have?

what boost pressure are you running? Yeah you are tooo lean.
I am runing 10 psi and i don't like to see any more than 12:1A/F ratio. At cruising I am around 14.5-15.0. I have the Greddy e-manage, 440cc RC injectors, Vortech FPR and an Aeromotive high volume fuel pump.
I would get some injectors in there and crank up the SAFC.
Then injectors suck, everyone i know who had them they puked out above 60psi of pressure. . I would see what your a/f ratio is with them current fuel mods and the stock injectors.
thats way lean, i wouldnt push the car at all. maybe check the settings on the s-afc and switch those injectors

Ecotec turbo kit for sale
From using the wideband to tune our ecotec turbo kit. We found max hp and a happy egt temp was created at about 12.7:1. At 9psi it never went about a egt of 1450 ish.

Im still normally aspirated with an eco but I'm getting similar numbers 14.6 at idle. 14s and 15s just regular driving full thottle sits right about 12.7 then at about 5000 rpm dips into 11s and at redline almost gets 10s. So mine seems to richen out as i get higher through the rpms

Jamie S,im pushing about 8psi.Im not pushing the car at all.Once i saw the a/f ratio jump like that,i backed off the throttle.I would put the stockers back in to see what the ratio is,but i lost one of them.I dont know how the hell i did,but when i went to put them back in the car,i could only find 3 of them.Im gonna put the brown tops in my car this week, along with my 8:1 fmu,and take it from there.I was messing with the fuel pressure today,i got it to read in the 12's,but when i hit like 3psi,it started to lean out.And to top it off,the seals in the s/c are leaking.I have a little puddle of oil where my air filter sits.I called vortech and they want $750 bucks to repair it.I cant win with this car. Thanks for your feedback guys.

The fmu and injectors should help. That sucks about the seals in the blower. I would push them to warranty it. It sounds like a manufacture defect. It should have some kind of warranty on it. I did a vortech blower on my buddies civic with a GSR B18C swap and the damn drive shaft for the unit stripped the splines off so it would not work. We called vortech and they said that a manufacture defect would be covered under warranty if he had the original purchase invoice/receipt.
i had the HO injectors in my cav with a turbo and around 6psi i was in the low 12's high 11's
all i had were the HO's and my caspers adj fpr , and max pressure was a 56-58 range
and being that lean that your at itll smoke that motor very quick
Im not taking my chances with these injectors.Im putting the brown tops in right now.I took the rail out and i noticed a little bit of oil on the injectors. The charger is blowing oil right into my intake.I cleaned the charger yesterday, and within a couple of hours, the inlet of the charger has a little puddle of oil in it.Im gonna check the oil return line to see if it is kinked or anything, but i doubt thats the problem.ill let you know how it turns out.

Well i just finished putting the injectors in.I set the idle fuel pressure between 30-35psi and i set the s-afc to -30%,and the car idles at an almost perfect 14.3 a/f ratio.I took it for a spin, and when i hit boost,it was between 10 and 12 a/f ratio. With a little fine tuning i think i can get a perfect a/f ratio.I got the specs on these injectors when i got them back from being serviced. They flow 34lbs at 43.5psi.

ptrblkz24. How much did you have to pay to get the brown tops balanced and everything, also where did you send them. Thanks
Adam,i sent them to cruzinperformance.com.They charge like $12 per injector. There turnaround time is pretty good.
