like the tittle said i bought this turbo for 10 bucks. and i need some info on it.
ok the exaust side it says A/R.68. and on the compresser side it says A/R.80 M24 garret.
my question is how big is this thing?

is it a T3? T4? T3/T04E? .68 on a T3 is smaller than .68 on a T4. Btw, A/R are just ratio.

it's a bit on the big side for your engine.
Maybe wait for more people to give their opinion but IMO it's usable but not practical.
If it's a T25 then yes it's good but if it's a T3 then it's big IMO.

by the flange
the T3 flange is not the same as a T25 flange.

with a tape measusre see how long and wide the flange is ....my T3 flanged measured 2 3/4 " short ways and long ways the flange measured 4 1/4" ...short ways from center of the bolt hole to the other center it measured 1 3/4 " ...if you get the same measurments then its a T3 housing.
ok short way its 2 7/16 and long its 3 7/16. if this helps

If the turbo is from a Grand Prix, and it's factory, then it's a T28. They act like a "big" T25. I used Google to search for "T3 flange dimensions" and came up with the following:
T3 bolt spacing: 3.35" X 1.77"
T25/28 bolt spacing: 2.83" X 1.57"
T3 Flange size: 3.54" X 3.23"
T25/28 Flange size: 3.62" X 2.44"
The flange sizes may vary, but the bolt spacing should not.

the flange size is the other way around. the T3 flange is not even near a square flange.

ok thx for all the info. and i have another question, when i was cleaning it up i found 3 cracks in the exaust waste gate hole. is there a place i can pick up another exaust part fairly cheap?
