hey there guys, this is for the 2.4L that i have turboed...i was wondering if there are anythings u guys would recommend to prep the turbo for startup..i was thinkin jus drip abit of oil in there first, and then when started up adjust oil pressure accordingly at running temp...but anything else you guys recoomend for startup....and i was wondering if i shuld start the car up with stock injectors just to get it running, cause i dont think the turbo will spool er provide boost at jus idle rite..so there shouldnt be too much more air going into the engine?>....what u guys think...ill be getting 370cc later...but could i start up with stocks jus for now, not rev or anything jjus for startup...and ill have emanage in aswell jus incase...But i want your guys opionions
i also have another question... anyone boosted ever hit there speed limiter...any bad things happen?...detonate er any @!#$? im worried about hittin my speeed limiter and blowing sumthing er sumtin.. any way of removing it. ...anyways get back to me... thanx guys

unplug the IDI cover and crank the engine for 5-10 sec. That will supply enough oil to the turbo. The oil pressure must be set when cold becuase you ahve more pressure when cold then hot. When hot, the pressure is correct.
you won't see boost at idle or when your going to rev unless you rev at WOT.

By pulling the fuel pump relay the car won't start when you crank it, it allows you to pre-load the turbo with oil when you start the car for the first time.
You pull the pump relay
Crank for 10 seconds or so
Put the relay back
And start it up.
Not sure yet that it really does anything, since some larger turbo's don't even spin at idle, and no spinning = no need for oil in the bearings really, at least for the time it takes the first time you start it up.
