Dragrace, you can love me or whatever, but you are not showing me any cause you are laughing at me, which is not cool by any means.
I mean I am a fanatic when it comes to my car.
Ok let me try to clear this out, and I don't know if you guys know the positioning of Eco motor unless you have one.
My 2.4L manifold, the t3 flange was biased to the driver side and it was cool.
I put the Turbo on with the compressor toward the driver side of the car and even tho I don't have room to fit an air filter it FITS.
Now also know one more thing I have external wastegate and the Tube goes toward the passanger side.
One the Eco it is a different story, The manifold that I have right now is built the same way, but I cannot use it.
Clocking will NOT get me anywhere, I mean if you think about it there are only 2 ways the Turbo can go, either compressor toward the driver side and down.
Or compressor toward the passanger side and Turbo is high up, since the damn Turbine housing was designed like a snail shell.
Well here is the Eco story. Keep in mind how the manifold is.
If I put the Turbo like a had it before where the compressor housing is on the driver side, the housing itself hits and needs an inch to clear this part on the block where the heater lines and the water temperature sensor is.
It doesn't matter which way you clock it, when the compressor housing is too big.
Now if I turn it the other way like Haas has it. where the compressor is toward the passanger side and the downpipe on the driver side.
It is too big and once again the compressor housing hits the firewall.
Now who cares about the @!#$ firewall, I;ll cut that @!#$ or hammer it and re-paint it, but this is where the wastegate @!#$ up and it doesn't clear.
Since the Outlet for the wastegate is toward the passanger side it comes like an inch from the compressor housing.
Now the second way it would work if my damn Turbo was internal wastegate, but it is not.
Now the only option is to re-weld the T3 flange towards the middle, about inch or inch and half, acctually if it was dead ass in the middle it would be fine, and not straight out, but up about 15-20 degrees, I guess it could work if it was straight out, but I was looking at it and the compressor housing look like it might hit the bottom of the block.
If the damn Turbo wasn't so @!#$ big, it would ok.
Well that is the problem now can anyone tell me how to fix it, and since I cannot fit my Turbo on my car like it is my 1st time, what can you guys suggest??
Nothing there to do, guys trust me now if you read and understand this what I wrote, you WILL see that there is really no way of doing this.
'''''''''''''''''''Is anyone running Brian's manifold and the external wastegate, what size compressor are you running??''''''''''''''''''''
