hey, just courious, i have an ld9 and i have been trying to seal up where the IAT sensor goes into the intake since i boosted it.
any tips on how to or where to put it i am using an after market intake with my charge pipes but i think that spot is causing a boost leak. i have a grommet in there and i also used epoxy to try and seal it but the epoxy didn't like the aluminum piping at all. any help would be GREAT lol

camaro iat sensor... it screws in so you will need to get a 3/8-18 npt bung and weld it on the manifold...and it plugs rght in and works like a charm....
p.s not sure if you searched at all before this but here is a link to this already answered problem...

cool thanks alot. do you tap the intake pipe or do you just dril the hole out more and weld it in then thred in the sensor?and i'll leave you alone after that lol
n/a cars and boosted cars are different you dont want to read the air temp coming the the intake you want to read it coming into the manifold after the intercooler. so in the manifold somewhere... the intake hole should be plugged.

ok i looked over your pictures of your setup you were comfusing me by asking if you should put it in the intake pipe....but you can do it in the pipe where the blow off valve is... some where like next to the power steering is where i have mine that way you read the air coming in.. and if you are thinking about boost leaks i would really suggest getting all t clamps on all the piping and couplers hose clamps arent sufficent for boost..... so hop i helped ya out... p.s you can get that aensor at autozones...

yeh i will use the stock hole on the pipe it's right after my bov but i was just wondering to thred that hole or just punch it out and drop the fitting in and weld that but i'll just drop it in and weld it. i live in canada, so i don't have an autozone lol but i see the ads on tv tho looks like a fun spot lol. i have upgraded since i took pics last, i have all t-bolts now
i tested it a couple weeks ago and it held 20 psi but i didn't use that aftermarket peice i took that second black coupler off and went there i knew that intake pipe would leak cause of that IAT hole. thanks again for your help jared, i'll grap the parts after work if i can from gm i have a hook up there. thanks again eh.
