OK guys I've had my kit on for a week and i'm throwing a code for low voltage on the iat sensor........I checked my connections from the splicing the harness and they are solid. nothings loose and the car runs fine on the gm reflash with the thrown code but I want to fix this issue. From what I have found searching the correct part number for the sensor on intake runner number 1 by the snout of the charger is gm part #12614973 is that correct?
Some of the threads I found while searching yeilded old part numbers and some that were wrong. I also checked the install instructions part sheet and the sensor is not listed, so I want to get the right part the first time so I'm not throwing money at sensors that don't work for my application and that I can't return.
Thanks
look in the catalog for cobalts on gmpartsdirect.com and you should be able to find the MAP sensor there

I thought you guys needed to run a TMAP or something....
I did look up one for the cobalt ss assuming that would be the replacement I needed and I asked the parts guy at the auto zone if they had one for an cobalt ss and the sensor has 3pins on it when the one on the kit has 4...so I didn't get it and just grabbed the claybar I origionally stopped in for. I'll have to go to advanced auto and see what they got. online they have 2 brands for the map sensor an ac delco and one that's no name.
I checked out gmpartsdirect but they dont show the part number for it, and I can't return electrical sensors so I don't want to take the risk of just ordering it, I'd rather find one local that I can see before I purchase to make sure there are four pins like the current sensor, and not three Iike I ran into eairlier.
Triple check the IAT wires. I had the same problem with mine and one of the wires was actually broken right by the connector. I missed it the first few times I checked.
Thanks for the tip ecopower.
I am running the Cobalt SS/SC MAP(TMAP techinically) sensor and am not getting a code for it. It is a 4 prong sensor with a redesigned plug. I bought my sensor off a member of CobaltSS.net and the plug off PJ. Hope this helps alittle.

Thanks for the info tinkles
I just emailed Bosch and gave them all the part numbers off the sensor hopefully I get some feedback but I doubt it. I will keep you up to date
Oh and I also located the bosch # 0261230042 found on my sensor with a saab viggen 2.8 v 6 turbo and on an alfa rameo forum but I didnt speak french and couldn't read a dam thing.
LOL, thats a kick in the balls. If you need the P/N off my sensor let me know.

Yea if you wouldn't mind posting all the info off of your sensor or just take a high res pic and post up. That would be great.
OK, i'll get that up today.
Edit: Here the best pic i took.
If you need more, let me know.

Make sure that the Light brown wire goes into location B on the connector for the IAT and that the black wire goes into location A on the connector for the IAT, all of the sensors are fine, it has to do with your connection where your old IAT harness meets the new harness that came with the kit
I just got home from work and checked out the connections one last time....and I had crimped the terminal too hard and cut 90% of the wire only a few strands were holding it together, so I replaced them and didn't crimp them as hard this time. I will be heading up to Milwaukee in a few hours, then to Indiana for some camping so I'll be logging some mileage. If the light comes on I'll take the blazer camping otherwise I'm going to enjoy the cav.
If the issue is no longer here though I'd still like to locate replacement sensors so if anyone needs it they can look up this thread for info.
you should solder the connections
imo

Agreed, would be nice to see your cav all put together tho man!!!
Project Resurrection is in full swing!
Cav ran great all weekend, had fun with a cobalt ss and a prelude on the highway, I'm going to solder them for sure in a while I have some other things that need to be done first though.
Still no feedback from Bosch via email, there is a few mechanic shops In the area that only touch imports and I'm going to see it they can look up the part for the alfa or the viggen In their catalogs and if they can get them I plan on buying an extra for myself.
Thats exactly what happened to mine. I win !
