My Current Set-up

04 Eco

Header and full exhaust
Short Throat
Crank Pulley
Short Ram
Lowered with @!#$ty springs

Im trying to predict an estimated time with those mods minus intake(Obviously) plus the GM S/C kit, Prolly peaking 12 pounds or so...Im hoping for low 14's to high 13's...Whats everyones opinion...oo yea and a decent driver behind the wheel...

Ok then, whats it going to take for me to hit high 13's on a stock motor without blowing it...? Smaller pulley?

A few have run 13's on 3.0 pulley or smaller. (with supporting mods)

What would you consider supporting mods then? Id rather not rip apart that motor? Ive heard bad things...what do you think?

Supporting mods to help run that small a pulley. Anything to prevent KR and allow you to raise boost.

Intercooler, meth/alky injection, big ass heat exchanger, maybe a FPR and then some.

3.0 pulley I would recommend HPTuners and at least 42 lb injectors. Intercooler, full exhaust, ect.

I was assuming he would be running the reflash so there would be no HPTuners.

And if he wasnt running the reflash, I think he would know all about HPTuners or some other means of tuning.

don't buy an intercooler, as suggested. you want a HEAT EXCHANGER. you'll more than likely need some type of drag radial to get into 13's too.

guys, if he's askin for help and you suggest the wrong word, then he'll buy an intercooler and then have no use for it.

are you goin to feel all warm inside if you make it to 13's?

3.0 pulley heat exchanger exhaust meth tune lsd and radials

130K stock LD9 with the right pulley set up.

What ever pulley combo takes you to 16,000 RPM would be good, heat exchanger, and water injection.

Nice free flowing exhaust, Nice header, anything to keep that backpressure down and keep your KR down. Im running a 2.5 exhaust, no cat, no resonator, only a muffler and a 2.9 pulley and im seeing 11-12 psi on a cooler night. Heat exchanger most definitely, one stage colder plugs, if you go 2 stages you will foul your plugs pre-maturely. Also, you will DEFINITELY need some Drag Radials to even come close man. Wheel spin is a B#$%H.

OK So I'm assuming that the GM kit from summit racing doesn't come with a heat exchanger...

Whats the besy way to obtain the exchanger? Also, whats better, HP tuners, or the GM tune? Where can I obtain a HP tune?

I see some nice Heat Exchanger kits from
http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CXR&Product_Code=HE002&Category_Code=HTEX
Ive searched on this website for some more info but it is limited...
Should I Buy the GM kit then buy the H/E, and use the H/E instead of the intercooler...

Man you guys must be way above sea level. I know of one 1sv cavy that went 14.7 with just an intke. And I ran mid 14s with a short ram, upper and lower mounts, and 2.5 exhaust. Then again our hometrack is way below sea level

Re: S/C Track Times

a 1SV going fast is more of a power to weight thing rather than sea level
