Sexyfull.
But god curt,
I know its your trademark to have a super powerful motor yet it's always dirty as hell,
but still man
It's filthy.

A+ though man.
Can't wait to see new numbers soon.

Well, odds are it'll flow better overall than the logs we're used to seeing, but I'm not a fan of the drastically different angles of the two pairs of pipes coming into the collector... Would much rather see the collector angles as equal as possible.

You can say how much you don't like it. The thing is Adam busted his ass on this thing. I cannot thank him enough. I read a thread over in the performance thread about how his 3" exhaust is overpriced...everyone can say what they want about his pricing, in my opinion it's too low. Every detail was gone over, he was tried to make the best possible header for me with my specifications. The turbo had to be in a certain location, the wastegate in a certain spot, the runners were an afterthought. He took an idea that I had in my head and turned it into reality. No drawings, nothing other than a few conversations and a couple days at his shop. I am very impressed with his talent and his attention to detail.

For the motor comment...10lbs of sh!t in a 5lbs bag.

I haven't got a chance to transfer all my pics yet but ill throw a few up of the build tomorrow. Over all im happy with the manifold and the build. This was a rushed job for curt to get done asap for his dates. Its not exactly how i wanted to do the runners but like curt said its what we had to do to get his turbo and gate where we wanted it. I got the materials friday morning and i think we started pulling the test fit car apart at about 2pm. By monday night we had it finished off ready to install on the car. Not bad turn around time for everything else i had going on that weekend.

JerseyJayLN2 (Scarab) - That collector isn't as bad as it seems in those pics. Those pics do make it seem like a harsh merge. Its actually not that bad of a collector as far as flow and smoothness. Im sure i got a straight on shot of the bottom and side on my camera to post up. Another thing to consider is the runner layouts and the 2 short runners are on the 2 collector bends. Its going to get the runners a more corrected equal length.

To anyone else interested im going to be doing a GP on a very similar top mount manifold. Im finishing up pricing now and will be starting a interest/comment thread next week followed shortly by a GP thread. Pricing is looking very nice right now at right around $500 for a externally gated 100% Stainless top mount manifold.

Thats hot but header wrap? Isn't that extremely bad for the metal? are you going to get it jet coated eventually?

Re: Atomic Fabrications Top Mount Ecotec Turbo Header
Wednesday, June 03, 2009 4:11 AM
The wrap is for now. This winter the header, downpipe, and the new turbo's turbine housing will all be jet hot coated.
