how exactly did some of you guys reposition your dipsticks? I just wondered if there is a part for it some where without gitting it in a kit

hen we did my turbo we bent it in a pipe bender. Also welded a return fitting into mine, which is fairly common. I think someone sold a premodded dipstick at one time or another.
i just put mine in a vise bent it and went down about 6 inches and bent it again... drilled a hole and braised a brass fitting into it. It works perfect but looks @!#$ty
We built the turbo manifold so we don't have to bend the dipstick.
I cut a section in the middle, spliced in heater hose, and made sure that the 2 cutt ends meet inside the hose that way your dipstick geometry (if there is such a thing) will still be correct. Worked pretty good. Gave me some options at differnt angles. And was fairly cheap.

yeah I used the top and the bottom piece of the stock dip tube and used 1 inch heater hose also i used 3/4 inch water pipe T fitting with a barbed 3/8 thread size coming of the side for the turbo drain. I tried to keep the same lenth.
I made my own manifold out of 304 stainless, and just got lucky that my dipstick fits. I do make my manifold for others but the price and backed off many buyers. Here is the only pic I have, sorry about the heat shield being in the way.
ok, i got rid of the heater hose spliced stock peice. Now i made w\ an exhaust pipe a new tube. Im not syure what size pipe, but the stock dipstick cap fits snugly in the top of the pipe. I had it bent to just move it out of the way, towards the battery. We measured and cut, and slightly bent the dipstick so that it will slide down the sharp 45 degree turn in the pipe which drops down to the peice that goes into the block from the original tube. The oil return like has a AN fitting welded on it at the bottom. Worked out freat. And its shinny.
