Ok i have a few ?'z i have a 99 sunfire with the 2200 in it. And here lately i have had alot time to mess with something since i have to wait for parts for my other project. So any way I've messed with boost on my 95 trans am and have alot of extra parts laying around. So i've thought about boosting the sunfire. I was gonna go custom and try to fit my old p600b procharger head unit on it. I have the ati fuel pump booster(inline fuel pump) There 2 core intercooler, Fmu, bypass valve. I also have a set of 24lb blue top ford injectors that are high independance along with a Inovative Motorsports Wideband Contoller the lc-1 with the digital guage. So my ? is i want to run 5 to 6lb's on high octane will i have to play with the timing or should i be fine or that low of boost with intercooler. Then what plugs does everyone seem to like for boost and heat range. O and i'm at about 2000 feet to. Would those injectors be enough with the FMU. Will this setup work on a j-body or should i change some things.
no you wont have to mess with the timing with those small amounts of boost and those injectors should be fine i hit 10psi in my 2200 on a 60trim turbo with no fuel cut on stock injectors

LMAO!
X2
what did your afr look like when u hit 10psi adam?
your injectors I can guarantee where well over their duty cycle. The eco's stock injectors are well up there.

LMAO!
Why so funny? Hes using an FMU and inline pump, (I.E. not stock fuel pressure) so duy cycle doesn't mean jack squat.

ok bro if you say so. we all must be loony stock injectors for all!
So everything i read about injectors, and my fuel system in it's entirety is wrong? A FMU and Inline pump is all i needed. And the stock injectors won't clip when his FMU jams his fuel pressure another 50-120psi, if the pump+inline pump can even handle it thats is. I could've saved so much money. What was I thinking

He has a wideband and stated he is running low boost, but yet you guys are laughing in his face otherwise implying he is out of his mind.
If fuel isn't adequate obviously he can dial boost down or upgrade the system, he won't be shooting in the dark given he has a wideband and probabally already knows more about tuning than both of you combined.

First off, Im refering to Adam Lewis's reply...focus your eyes...
Second off, How many cfms does a 60 trim blow? A hell of a lot. I highly doubt Stock injectors will deliver enough fuel for 10 psi.
And Raising your fuel pressure that high just to compensate? Just do it correctly and replace the injectors.
and black eco I dunno about, I'll send you a few logs and you tell me what you think about my tuning
Yeah man, i was talking about lewis, you don't wanna be doing that @!#$ on stock injectors, but as far as trents post is concerned, he should be fine with that setup.
Yea i do know some but not all. I do have a 95 trans am with a 391 stroker all forged with a p1sc on 12lb'z of boost that put down 530 horses to the wheels but was having opti problams and maxing out the 42lb injectors i had in it till the valve seat feel into the number 1 cylinder. Which caused all hell to break loose. But i have a crap load of extra parts and 2.2 is mostly stock with 110k on it was why i was going to go with low boost. I've been looking into a 3.4 or 3.8 swap and turboing it since the 2.4 i have has a spun rod. I do have two other ?'s one is the stock o2 on the 2200 resistance or voltage and if voltage which i figure it is what would it be. Then other i stuck the 24lb's in and it would run a lil rich on start up and all the way throught the rpm's and sutter. Should i stick with stock injectors for that low boost? O and that was with the stock o2 and more less stock except header, no cat and catback.
o and where can i hook up a oil feed line.
i hit fuel cut as soon as i hit 10 psi only did it a couple times and not for long
