hello all, im hoping to get a list of parts needed for the GM S/C kit ill be getting in the next few months. anyone with experience with S/C please post up what parts you would recommend to put on the same time as the S/C kit. (2.2L ecotec) part numbers and websites will help! thanks
so far i was thinking:
heat exchanger:
cobra heat exchanger, what else is needed with it? (surge tanks, pumps, intercooler plate, etc) - what would you recommend for each?
spark plugs:
what brand and how many steps colder than stock?
wideband:
AEM UEGO or innovate?
intake:
any adapters or specific tubing needed to make the AEM CAI work with the S/C?
any other misc parts needed?
would neutral balance shafts be needed if i keep the stock cams?
thanks in advance
chris - i was thinking of getting the kit and installing it before may, sound like a plan?

For the intercooler, you'll need the heat exchanger, 3/4" heater hose (10-12 feet) 2 90degree bend pre-formed heater hoses, hose clamps, coolant pump, resevoir (I used a mustang cobra resevoir), some way to secure heat exchanger (I used bwoodyperformance.com brackets), relay to control the pump, wiring, inline fuse. I might be missing something, but thats the majority.
You can use stock spark plugs for the basic kit. Or upgrade to NGK LTR6IX-13
Wideband: I bought the AEM one but haven't hooked it up yet.
I'm using the aem intake with KandN intake elbow. Not sure what intake it came off of or where to get it because I got it used.
thanks for the info
anyone else have some more info to contribute? ty

the balance shafts would be a good idea in general, IMO. Especially if you're planning on running over 6,000 RPM! The ecotec build guide said that I think! We would definitely have the head done before May. I was also going to let you know, I know you said you were going to be busy this weekend, but if you do happen to find some free time, Chuck will be in Tomah this weekend for a hockey tournament for one of his boys, I can get his cellphone number for you and, if you can, you could drop the head off to him while he's down there!

do you think a PVC 45* elbow would work?

Might, but may change the air temp too!!! I'd figure out a way to use an aluminum elbow.
