AFPR 2.4L Need help
Sunday, November 04, 2007 6:33 PM
I have a 2.4l. I need to hook up a AFPR and am having trouble. I have the aeromotive AFPR at first i thought it would fit until I tried it and realized that is hits the timing chain housing. So what AFPR are you other 2.4L guys using.

is that even a direct fit on the rail? accel makes a direct replacement. other than that you have to keep the factory fpr and cut the return line to plumb in the afpr.

Accel Adjustable FPR (74565)

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

Brandon Fetter I think is running the one you are trying to use. I don't know how he did it, but I know he made it work some way or another.

Just thought I would share. I'm looking into doing this also, and I forget where he posted how he got it to work.

It does fit in the rail, but you cant get it to clear the timing chain housing. I have seen pic of the aeromotive in like above. I am just wondering what all was done to get it to work. You would almost have to make a new bracket to hold everything in place and cut about 1/8" off the rail. If it not to big of a deal i'll do that other wise i am getting a different AFPR.

Can someone please give me some in site on how you guys are making the aeromotive AFPR work. I would like to use it sense I have it already. I realize the Accel is a direct bolt on but I don't want to spend money on a part I already have.

Brandon
