I was just curious...

The Gold insert is supposed to emit a "standard high frequency sound" and also add "visual appeal" (I think if you can get somewhere in the neighborhood of "two-thumbs-up" for "visual appeal" it adds about 10-15 horse at the wheels, but, nobody's dynoed this yet for actual proof...)

The Purple insert "emits a lower frequency sound than both the standard and gold SSBV inserts".

Again, if anybody has tossed one of these on, or knows the mother of some kid's friend's brother who has, I was just curious as to whether they made any difference.

how would you get power from a B.O.V? or are you kidding? I have the purple insert and its not that bad... i like it not to loud but just enough to get some ones attention ahaha

Yep, just a joke man... I was "seriously" curious as to the inserts though. You say you have the purple, so, is it much of a difference, with respect to the sound, from the "stock" HKS SSQV?

i couldnt tell you i got the B.O.V with the purple one in.. Actually to tell you the truth i dont even know if its a 100% real HKS... as its the only thing i have left from the used kit i bought from some one on here, and if its like the rest of the kit (total crap which was sold or tossed) i bet its fake but it sounds not bad.. ill take some videos once i put it back on.. just having it mounted to a new charge pipe..

if its a fake HKS it won't have HKS written on the blow off valve.
