I finished my motor last night(mod list in my profile) and she fired up real strong first try. RPMs sat at like 1200 for about a minute then dropped down to idle. I shut it down last night after about 4-5minutes since it was 4am and I was in my garage. This morning again she started right up but it keeps kinda surging at idle, real bad like a 300 rpm jump at first, down to just barely jumping after about 15 minutes of idling. Is this normal or is something potenitally wrong? I was thinking that it could possibly be the computer "figuring" out the S/C grind cams? I also revved it to like 2grand and help it there for about 10 seconds then let off and it stalled. I dug up Darkstars cam swap how to post and I swear I have the car timed right, I checked and rechecked it. Also the oil light isnt shutting off and it just threw a CEL. I would check the code but my stupid Aeroforce gauge is acting up. Any thoughts guys?

but I would check all your sensors and harness to make sure everything is together. My engine when started had absolutely NO problems. Make sure the oil pressure sensor is hooked up.
Just double check all sensors like I said, if you here anything, or feel anything that does NOT feel right dont run it. Just keep an eye on it. and Yes it could be the ecu, or the vac lines. I know my first/second set of cams made the ecu freak and my idle was always screwed

sounds like a vacume leak to me, or check your iac.
I pulled the IAC and it looked like it was moving relativly freely so I put it back in and the car purred like a kitten
I took her out for a little spin and when I got back it was surging again at idle. Im guessing that it might be the issue. Thanx Phlatcav... I may also have a small leak where my meth nozzle is. Othe then the issues, the car sounds great.

Any lope from the cams? I'm assuming you did get the balance shaft bearing mount?

Idle seems to to have a good amount of lope to it. I did get the balance shaft bearing thing and I cant thank you enough for the help on that. As far as power, i didnt get on it much but it seems to start to pull a bit harder at about 3k, Im not sure though because Ive been driving a beat to hell 95 avenger for the past 8 weeks so anything seems fast. After I change the oil again Ill get on it a bit more.

Im still on the reflash for now. Im also on my 3" pulley and factory exhaust manifold/downpipe. I havent hooked up my ginormous intercooler yet either. Im debating taking it to PnP in STL but the price just seems steep to me, maybe its not and thats what it costs.

BTW, Break it in hard! Dont be to easy on it at all realy.
