Cooling a turboed Z24?
Saturday, March 31, 2007 7:39 PM
Hello all what are you guys using for radiators on high hp boosted Z24s, is the stock radiator with a second fan or dual fans sufficient or is a bigger all aluminum one needed, especially since I'm keeping my a/c?

I ran a factory radiator on mine. What kind of horsepower are you aiming for?

i think they offer two radiators for the cavys. one slightly bigger and one smaller. two fans would be nice to. also run a switch in the cab so you can turn them on whenever or wire it to the ingition.

only thing i did which made a huge improvement.. was have the fans come on sooner using a HP tuner... my car ran cooler with the turbo and s/ c'er then it did when i bought the car

Thanks guys as for my hp/tq goals hopefully 500hp/480tq at the flywheel so the stock setup with dual fans and modified timing with HPT should work. What about the thermostat, are you guys using the stocker or would a 160* be better?
