Ok as the title says I am going to be building a few of these for people that have contacted me. If anyone elts is interested now is the time to get in. I have been pricing everything out and with a group purchase price from the tubing manufacturer the price will be $800 plus shipping. I have been talking with Karo also about getting these even cheaper yet. When he gets back to me i will update everyone with anykind of price change. Paul or DaFlyinSkwirl will be testing out the ecotec fitment end of the deal when the time comes. If all goes well these will be available for the Eco application as well.
About the header:
All 304 ss with 308 filler
1 3/4 runners (about 16'' flange to flange)
1/2 head flanges 2.3 or 2.4
T3 or T4 turbo flange
1 1 3/4 2 bolt waste gate flange (available without)
This is what i was thinking. I know 800 is a lot of $ to come up with right away. So if we set a date say the 10th of next month to send in a deposit to help pay for materials. Then once the headers are built and ready to ship the final payment will be made and the header shipped. It will take about 2 to 3 weeks to get all the materials have the flanges cut and weld them all up. If everyone interested would let me know what they think or if im missing something let me know.
Now for pictures.
The actual header will have some small changes like extra bracing and small build changes but will be the same basic layout.

I love it and it's a great idea and looks like amazing workmanship. With that being said though I dont know how many will actually be interested in an $800 manifold. I have a shop here near me who will make me the exact same manifold for $375. If there is any way to lower the price I think sales and interest would be muchhhh greater here.

There is no way that you will be able to get a 304ss (stainless steel) turbo header for that price.
If your "shop" will TIG weld a stainless steel header for this price, make arrangements with them, slap 50$ on each unit for yourself and you will own the market.
sorry........ no chance, please prove me wrong with a header and a reciept.

This question is for Atomic:
Are you going to be welding these yourself?
Have you considered making a top mount design? Ive never seen a j-body with a top mount.

Pimpfire, god I @!#$ love the JBO and people running their mouths about how @!#$ just CANNOT be done. You have no idea where i am, who i know, or what shop it even is. Contrary to your belief 304 stainless is not that expensive, especially when it is bought in mass qaunities. I took pictures and a schematic to these guys awhile back with Brandon Fetters setup. I was quoted $350-$375 for the same header. These guys have been welding up custom exhausts, headers, roll cages, suspensions etc. for years and I have been using them for numerous custom turbo setups i've done through my shop (607 Tuning) for the past couple of years. So yes it can be done, and this winter i will have one on my car as I have just begun compiling parts for my turbo setup which will be completed by spring. As i stated before it looks like a very nice piece and i'm glad some people are working towards making some strides in the jbody community, great job.

Jimmyc99z24- The collector in that picture is exactly like the one i will be using. It cost $325 alone not including the flange. If you can find a place that sells them cheaper i want there #. Contact any race fab shop and get a quote for somethig simalar. Better yet call Full Race see what they say. Material is not cheap by any means. Im making dirt on this deal. Im doing this for lack of product like this in the j market.
Pimpfire- I do all my welding. Yeah ive been throwin around a few ideas but really dont have the $ to play with them. I would love to build a nice top mount or better yet side mount. But I have everything tied up in geting my car on the road.
Skillz- I would love to see more pictures of that setip if you get em. Looks like it could be a log manifold.

Atomic i'm going to talk with the shop and see exactly what they are looking to use for a collector and also get some more details, as of 2 weeks ago though the price quote was as i stated. Last winter I had them do a custom cross pipe and collector for a turbo Fiero 3800 and they charged about $300. Maybe these guys are wayyy cheap and i'm just wayyy off. Either way I love it that you are offering these up to the jbody guys and giving us all some options. Thanks a ton for you R&D and dedication.

Hey Atomic you are the only game in town for the 086 head and I understand that you've gotta pay the cost to be the boss so I'm in. I've had my $800 ready and waiting so you just tell me how much of a deposit do you need, half now the rest on delivery?
And for others concerned about the price the original designer of this header " Custom Tubes" wanted $1300 for the same header, I called them and they won't do one for the 086 HO head I'm using so not only am I saving $500 but Atomic is the only game in town for me. Plus it's an equal length turbo header not some restrictive log style manifold and when you're after the big hp/tq you need a header, just look at other high hp/tq turboed imports they all have an equal length tubular header.
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
I see no problem with this header being 800$, looks like a good piece of work. The dub guys are paying upwards of 1000$ for the same type manifold, so be happy, 800$ is very reasonable.

whats so whats different between that collector (since there is no really go pics of it) and these collectors?
HERE
plus alot cheaper.
i'd love to get a top mount for an eco.. been thinking about making one once i get the motor in..it atleast going to be a equal length, but might possibly do a top mount
That is a badass manifold. Goodluck with the sales!

The reason I brought this up is it looks like one of "burns" stailess sleeved collectors on there. Im not running my mouth, I know what Im looking at in the picture.
The burns collector is alot better than a normal collector cut on a bandsaw. This is where alot of people save money. In addition, tooling costs for the flanges cost money as well. If it has a 1/2 inch flange a machine shop is going to charge a little more because its hard on tooling.
Most header style manis are around 600-1200 and up. You are paying for the quality parts that go into it.
This is a fair price for this mani, thats my point.

Volumeking333(Ryan) - The collector in that link is a schedule 10 butt-up pipe collector. You would need to use all schedule 10 pipe to build a header with that. They can be nice headers but hold a lot of heat and weight a ton. The header im using is a merge slip style collector. Like what burns makes.

I'm interested, what kind of time frame are we looking at, deposit to final payment?

Also, could you put exspansion reliefs in the flange for that price?
I would probably be up for this... just gotta wait till i get my engine built first
300hp&tq coming soon
Team GREEN
Ok so ive been talking with the tubing manufacturer and they set me up with an account so this will be a fixed price. So in other words it means no deadline for deposit and less wate time. Time frame from deposit to the header being sent out will probably be in the 2-4 week range. Only because the wate for shipping and lead time at the machine shop for flanges.
I will look into the expansion cuts. All depends on how my band saw will cut the stainless.
Anyone interested and ready to send a deposit can email me at Atomicmotorsports@yahoo.com. We can exchange information and go over payment info.

2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.

$800 plus whatever shipping is to your location.
I also forgot to mention i can do 321 stainless now. It would be roughly $50 more. Worth it in a higher hp/heat application if your not going to be coating in any way.

Hmm.....bandsaw ehh?........Nevermind..lol
I'd interested in 321......when are we looking at cash? Would it be possible to start another sale in Jan? January would work better for me but I'll do whatever is needed to make sure I get one. So if that means next few weeks than that will still work for me.
