ok i have a big probleme with my ecotec 2.2 engine!! it had 20 000 miles on it and taking a lot of oil , produce a blue smoke at the rear! I dont want to drive a honda(blue smoke)!! I want to resolve this problem!!! I take compression it gave me 180 on all cylinder! At the idle the car doesn't produce any blue smoke, but when i rev it it start smoking really much! first of all I tought it was the turbo but it is brand new... I notice my plug #3 have oil on it...so the pobleme is probably in cylinder #3... 5000 miles ago I change the headgasket and put old head bolt and when I came to torc one bolt over cylinder #3 it like if it wanted to strip so we decide to not giving much torc to prevent stripping the block until i reoppen it to upgrade... si is a head bolt can cause this oil problem??? or maybe it is oil ring??? what can cause oil ring to broke so early.... 20 000 miles and ring broken WTF??!?

A Head bolt can cause an oil problem! Do you have an coolent in your oil?
Play hard, Drive fast, and Be safe...
From what you said I'd guess head gasket. Check the coolant for oil and the oil for coolant. Next time you pop the head off just get a set of arp head studs, they are cheaper then oem head bolt and resuable.
Omg!
You reused stretch head bolts and when one started to strip you didn't tighten it as much as you should.....
This can cause a serious problem. Do it right the first time.
ok tomorrow I will try to remplace the bolt only the one over cylinder #3 , just to fix this temporary, I'll buy a cometic head gasket and arp stud this week
For people that say OMG you took used bolt WTF?!? the reason was simple, few months ago I lost my job and my head broke during this time, no money doesn't help the situation... and I needed my car so I did what i can!

yea but the oil coolan passages are close.....so a loose head bolt may possible allow oil/coolant to mix.
just pull the valvecover and try replacing the one that was stripped.........dont pull the head. then re torque them all.
also
the problem may not be the oil ring maybe its a valve problem,.,,,,a bent valve may cause a problem liek you said aswell.
*************Yea i spell liek wrong get over it*****************
** If i write in caps its cause im @ work and i can only write in caps cause the keyboard is a retarded CAPS only keyboard.**
oil and coolant are not mixing the engine is only burning oil...damn someone told me it could be my turbo WTF there is oil on spark plug #3 and the turbo is new... ok it's a ebay but it has less than 1 month!!
