Building an Eco for boost, what head gasket?
Friday, October 06, 2006 5:46 AM
Im building my friends ecotec to handle about 15psi. He has most of the parts he needs already and the rest are on their way. The last thing I need to know is what head gasket should I be using?

Yeah stock is the best... I know Jasmin went through 2 or 3 cometics because they would leak coolant... I just ehard of 2 more people with the same problem... the cometic leaks coolant....

Our stock head gasket is MLS 2 Layer.. it is very strong.... I will be running it under 15 pounds...

I've been running the Cometic for a while now with no problems. I've also got 4 customers running them without any problems.

Thanx alot guys. I recieved the motor tonight but wont start taking it apart for another couple weeks due to have having a couple other projects here that need immediate attention. I will keep everyone posted and snap pics along the way. Looking at the build sheet, its going to be almost like you build QBE, except for the cams.
