You can buy them for under $200, I doubt anybody would just let you borrow one, unless its somebody local.

It's not just 200$; it's 500$ after the sensor and the reader etc etc.

I'm trying to do a turbo set up without spending thousands of dollars.

ok, so do you really think someone that you dont know, and most importantly, doesn't know YOU, is going to lend their expensive wideband to someone over the internet that they've never met before?

I don't know where you buy your parts, but they are living pretty good.

I got my AEM UEGO 7in1 wideband from ebay for $230. PLX devices can be found for considerably cheaper.

That doesn't come with a sensor.

I have a ZZ Performance pulley puller I could trade for borrow... it's good for swapping S/C pullies (I used to have a Cobalt SS).

I'd pay a deposit for it, so if it got damaged you would have the money.

I only need it to tune the car.

Bull@!#$ it doesn't. A wideband KIT comes with sensor. You will have a hard time finding a controller that doesn't come with the sensor. The PLX, AEM, Autometer all come with sensor AND controller.

Hmm. Still, That's an extra 200$ I could be spending on a better turbo or something. I really just wanted an external one I could temporarily mount, use to tune the a/f ratio, and be done.

Ok, so you tune it, send the wideband back, down the road your FMU pukes, you don't know it, run lean, and boom?

A wideband is one of those safety devices you should have at all times, not just a tuning device.

dude, give it up, no one is going to lend a random stranger their damn wideband. i'd ask for a full deposit of the price of a brand new wideband before i'd lend you one. if you want the cheap route, go to a dyno and tune it with their wideband, it'll be less than the measely 200 bucks.

Go to the Dyno and tune using their wideband that mounts via a sniffer in the tail pipe. Its not as reliable as a wideband sensor mounted in the vehicle that you can depend on, but its a start for what your looking to do.

Best of luck to you, grasshopper.
