I have about 86k on mine, running 9psi, its been fun and is holding up well.

88k on a 96 is an extremely low milage, not high.

Honestly... if you blow it up then replacing the engine really isn't all that expensive.

Less than a grand for another engine from the wreckers right? So as long as it's not your only car and you can afford some downtime... you really don't have all that much to lose.

I put my turbo on around 85,000 and I am running 12 psi no problem. Remember I have a really good tune with HPTuners and bigger injectors.

also it will be the poor tune and lack of fuel that will kill the motor first

also get a wideband o2 , before you even start putting boost on it

The whole milage thing is kind of a joke. Milage doesn't mean that much. If the car was taken care of, then your going to be just as good as the guy who didnt take care of his car for 2000 miles. The one key to knowing if you car is boost ready (or at least the only thing you can check) is the compression. Good compression and you should be good to go.

I have around 120000km's on my 2200.....
read sig........

compression is key.......... if the compression is good, and overall the engine hasn't given you trouble.... your good to go .....
