I finally got my alcohol injection kit completely installed and was priming the pump when I noticed liquid squirting out all over in the engine bay. I had my brother watch as I hit boost when revving the car and he said that the leak is coming from the plastic check-valve. Now, I have two options, 1) Contact DevilsOwn and notify them of the failure and hope they replace it for me or 2) Take the check-valve out and just put it back together without it.
What should I do?
I would contact the company....
You don't want to run it without a check valve because the whole point of it is to keep water from entering when not needed. Definetely wait and get a new checkvalve...
Car is for Sale!Supercharger kit is for sale!
yea dont want to be running without one of those
plastic one, wow the coolingmist ones are brass
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
I called them and they said it was ok to run without a check valve as long as it is plumbed before the throttle body.
Now I need to contact Pulley Boys 'cause the damn pulley screws are stuck in the hub and stripped when using the supplied wrench! One step forward, two steps back today.
did you use any sealant on the fittings? i recommend some teflon paste with teflon(yes they make teflon paste with out teflon and it sucks).
so try putting that on the fittings, and makeing sure everything is tight.
( i have had no issues with my cooling mist brass vavle)
It wasn't leaking through any fittings. It was litterally squirting out of the middle of the check-valve. I just took it out and plumbed it directly into the intake. Works great. Ice cold intakes are nice.
anti seize works wonders on threads so they dont get stuck
i just found out that the hose adaptor i was using came apart , and my system was empty
guess its time to either get a tb spacer and plum it with all good hose , or get a new car , lol
i just made sure i tefloned all my connections... and i have zero leaks and mine now runs from the trunk to the front...
