PICS, of LSJ head swap as promised and more!

Here are some pics.

This is where I accutally relocated the knock sensor and it seems to be picking up no knock opposed to being in the oil pan. (This is just like it is in LSJ motors as well) Block is more dense metal than pan.

My bottom end, it has carbon built up but it still rides out.

Sodium exhaust valves.

Brand new head on the L61 bottom end.

My Cam Angle Sensor.

Turbo just waiting to spool up.

Valve cover is on, I like this picture. lol

Injector thingies to fit my 650's.

Intake manni and coils are on, but will they work??

L61 head just chilling all lonely,

Had to shave down the master cylinder cause the cam angle sensor didn't like it there.

Notice the brass nipple right in the middle of the head, and the intake manni shaved down.
Well the flange wouldn't cover that hole off so I had to route that into a catch can.
New manni will take care of that. and there IS OIL coming out of there under boost.

Black on black and no front grille. lol

Grille THIS!!

Cocky pit!

Had to use the L61 IDI cover for now.

MASTER POWER is ready to COOK some motors, but not this one!!

Well hope you guys like it, wait till the intake manifold and the TB goes on.

lol. E-tech you forgot an H in there.
I just saw the time slips of my 12 and 11 second runs so I thought I should have snapped pics of them as well, but I forgot so I will get those when I get the pics of the intake manifold.
I will deff. have pics of that .

Every time I do something on the car, I am so eager to finish that I get carried away and forget to take pics, and then it is all done and I just have no will to take 24 pics of just crap that is already put thogether.
I like these pics I think I will have more from now one, they are fun to look back at and say, "" damn I remember problem I had or whatever""/

1st of all we don't know about the flow and how it does, I guess I will be the one finding that out.
I know if has a slight better cam profile for FI cars, overlap issue.
It has a cam angle sensor which helps with most of todays engine managements.
It had Sodium filled Exahust valves, which dissipate heat a lot better, and handle it than stock ones.
It is made out of Sand Cast, process opposed to Loast Foam, and if you read GM write up about the L61 head when you start approaching the 500 hp or some crap you start blowing head gaskets on the old head since the head lifts from the block and this one has that problem fixed.

I few things here and there however, I had it sitting in my house collecting dust (a brand new head) so why not put it to test, after all for last 7 years that is all I have been doing with my car.

Couple questions for you. One when did you put a Dash back in your car???? Last tie I saw it it was just the metal support brace (but looks good). Also why did you have to route the coolant over flow on the driverside. Pic look good.

Well John, I put the dash back in like 3 days after you saw it cause I was getting tired of sun glare on the speedo and stuff.

I routed the coolant tank there cause I hate it in the stock position I will be getting rid if that damn thing and getting a nice aluminum one.

I relocated it cause I have a intake pipe there with air filter for the Turbo.
Now it is oper cmpresor housing no filter, I know it's bad.

looks like you need to pick up a 'non' abs setup next...... clear up a little bit of room under the hood....

I think I've been down for way to long..... dont know if I'll ever be able to catch up now

did you by chance check the combustion chamber volume between the two heads? I'm curious if theres a difference....

I was just told the same damn thing by the owner my the Gulfcoast a friend of mine.
He told me "You need to get this big piece out of here, do you really have ABS?"
When is the last time you used it? lol

I am gonna look into it, youi are right Brian.

You are also right about maybe NOT baine able to catch up you took to long and you know me. I take advantage of time fully.

Also, I wish I have checked but I am pretty sure I can get that info somewhere, I should have done it, and checked MINE since not all are the same but I can get ball park figure.

See what you can dig out. Yo know what pistons I have and head gasket is right about the same as the L61 maybe .040 crushed.
