I have a 2000 2.4 liter and i just put in a t3/t4 and when in boos it reads lean, real lean to the point where i loose power becuase of lack of fuel. im running about 6psi. I just picked up an FMU and i will be putting it in right away. Will this take care of the problem or do i need bigger injectors or a FPR?
any help would be great
thanks,

How lean is lean? I'm guessing by your description your using a NB O2 gauge. Get a wideband O2 and give us some numbers.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.
5K PB: 24:50
10K PB: 54:26
Well I scaned the computer today with a tech 2 for a check engine light. I had a code in there for closed circut, also I was running at 14.76 when i looked at the freeze frame information, thats lean lean. So Im thinking bigger injectors.
thanks
what size are your injectors or are you running the stock ones....
running stock, and its killing the engine
you nailed it right on the head chap...
it'd do you good to get that car tuned to 12:1 a/f or something reasonable.
-Trailblazer SS - not so custom 6.0L - custom intake - custom tune
- (1) 2.4L on an engine stand (1) blown trans (2) good quad trans (1) eco trans = party
diddo that, 12:1,
HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED
i have a FMU rated for 12:1 you think with some new injectors thats the way to go?
A FMU should do the trick for 6 psi. A 12:1 FMU means the Fuel pressure increases by 12 for every 1 psi of boost. It does not mean it will get you a 12:1 A/F ratio. A 12:1 FMU maybe be too much pressure for your stock fuel pump to handle. You may want to get an adjustable FMU so you can set it at the minimum pressure necessary for you to achieve the proper A/F ratio while under boost. Personally I have a 12:1 FMU and am running a solid 5psi of boost. My A/F ratios are fine and I have no check engine lights of codes of any kind. I may get a lower ratio FMU because of the pressure my pump has to handle, but so far I have yet to have any problems.

Rolling with a high flow pump would be a good idea then/
sharifs what size injectors u have...
i have the same fmu ( vortech 12:1) and i need injectors...just dont kno wat size to get.....
im gonna have 8 psi for the moment (internally gated to 8)...

you need RC Engineering 440cc High Resistance Injectors they go for about $320 and will be what you are looking for.

You really need to stop giving advice.
#1: 440's will probably be a bit much for 8psi, 370's would do it.
#2: He has low impedance injectors, not high
#3: You can buy 370cc Brown Tops, for $100 or less. Even if he had high impedance, he could get 440cc Green Tops for about $150.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!

That is definitely a possibility or get a lower ratio FMU. For example you could get a 10:1 or 8:1 or even a 4:1 or one that can be adjusted. As long as whatever FMU you go with still allows you to get the proper A/F ratio then the lower ratio FMU will mean less stress on your Fuel pump.

I would listen to Shifted on this one, he is more knowledgeable than me on this subject. I am running on stock injectors, but that is because I run a low boost level of 5psi.
thank u shifted....im gonan try to find brown tops sumtime in the near future

where can i find these injectors? im running 6psi on a 2.4L what would you recomend?
would 320cc RC injectors be alright....i found sum of them

150
you scratch my ride IMA EAT YO CHILDREN
but thats now wat i wanted to kno....would they work alright with 8psi?

better ask shifted, he knows best but i dont think those are going to be too small, 370cc was recomended @ 8psi
im running rc 370cc injectors at 9 psi.....so far they have held up and are going strong.....also running a cartech fmu and an accell afpr....but im still on the factory pump......im running lean at WOT.....but driving around and getting on it from time to time it all good.....
Still might want to ask shifted on his opinion......every one has different luck with different injectors...so everyones opinion may be different
