I tried fitting it to my Cobalt SS and it must be larger since it hits the tensioner.., anyone have the specs?

I thought it was the same as the Cobalt SS/SC, 3.43" Must be different then.

cant be, doesnt fit a Cobalt SS, it has to be larger....
the chargers are identical but the pulley appears larger. Stock CSS 3.34" pulley makes about 12-14 psi without the pcm bleeding boost and the eco charger makes 10psi so having a larger pulley this makes sense, since the pcm doesnt control boost in the eco charger...

Our eco has a higher displacement, hence the reason we see 10-11 and they see 12-14.

if i remember airtonics only saw around 10 psi with his s/c , and he used 1 from the redline

and the redline is the same as the cobalt ss/sc

hmmm, so then why is the pulley contacting the tensioner? there must be some difference in the pulley to cause it to hit....strange!

Ironically tht was the same thing we saw when we looked at Airtonics system and mine, but we measured and the pulley is the same size, it has something to do with the installation and the block I think, we never got very far into to figure it out.......

I wonder if the pulley is recessed more on the eco charger? interesting!

i had axcess to a friends eco kit , and ive got the redline s/c

both the intake and s/c are identical

i havent checked the tensioner bracket , but i do know the alt recomended on the last(or 2nd to last) page of the install instructions , from the CD

give you the part # for the redline/cobalt alt

you have any pictures of what is hitting ??

there is a part of the 2.2 head you have to cut off for the engine lift bracket , also when you put the engine lift bracket on the alt spacer , you have to grind down the bolt head or it will hit part of the tensioner

ya s/c pulley was hitting the tensioner bolt on my SS S/C really weird too...
seems like the pulley was either, larger, had more of a side wall or is set back closer to the snout of the s/c....the pulley wont spin if the s/c is installed, just strange...
