well im not goin for all out power, just somethin to have a little fun in... itll still work though right?
Not really, size isn't just about power, its about efficiency. Using too small of a turbo can overspeed the turbo, causing turbo damage and even engine damage. Also, during higher RPM's and even if the turbo is out of its efficiency range, it will heat up the air and may cause detonation.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
What he said. Get a tbird/svo/merkur 48/60, or 60/63 off ebay for the same price if not less. That will suit your application MUCH better and be most effiecient throughout the powerband. With that t28 being bb, its only going to spool up quicker, and fall off quicker.
Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
Btw, the "shaft play" myth is pure BS. Everybody think that shaft play is bad. It's not. The only shaft play that is bad is when the turbine wheel and shaft goes side way(you push and pull on the shaft), like if want to come out of the turbo. Unless the turbo has ball bearings, it WILL and NEED some play. So anybody that say "there's no shaft play" on a regular bushing turbo is either crook trying to sell bad stuff or ignorant. The normal turbo need a coat of oil for the bushing to run on so it need some play. when they say "no shaft play", they are either full of s***, don't know what the **** they are talking about or it has ball bearings(witch is not the case with about 99% of the turbo you can find that say "no shaft play".
