I was wondering how long does your timer stay on for after a long drive? I'm wonder this because I'm designing one as a project. Before you ask, yes I do know what I'm doing. Right now I'nm in school for my B.S. in Electronics Engineering.

if i remember i think u can program most in 5 minute incriments.. but don't take my word for it
mine only stays on for a 1 min 30 sec at the longest when in "full auto mode," Unless i manually set it to 1-5 minutes.
5 minutes is the max it goes to.

thank you

I suppose this would be easy with just a simple timer, but I would have no clue what wires to tap into.

Ignition really... you could take it a step further and wire it into a power lock system to lock the vehicle and also to the e-brake switch so it could automatically turn the vehicle off if the e-brake was disengaged, etc.

The way I'm doin it is using a capacitor with a series of BJT's and a few resisitor for the timing part. I'm using a pot. to determine the time constant of the capacitor, in turn the cap. will be putting one of the transistors into saruration untill it reaches cutoff.

so more or less is the install pretty difficult?? or fairly easy?
**changes are here**
for me it'll be easy. For someone with limited knowledge of time constants and transistor biases it would be kinda difficult

Not to thread jack but how would i wire this into my car when i have an alarm that doesnt have the ability to be a turbo timer

i have a blitz turbo timer and it does everything you said except lock the doors.
It is very easy to install a turbo timer. Just have to tap into a few wires.
making your own wouldn't be extremely difficult. Not a super simple task either.
