Dyno Saturday...Predictions?
Thursday, February 23, 2006 8:10 PM
Finally gettin the grocery getter back on the dyno this Saturday. Just wondering what everyone thinks it will put down this time. Here is the sheet from when all I had was the M45 and an intake:

Since then I've added a Pace Setter 4-1 header, 2.5" exhaust (no cat), the Secret cams (200 degrees @ .050" with .360" lift for the intake, 200 degrees @ .050" with .375" lift for the exhaust), and swapped out the stock M45 pulley for a 6psi pulley.

Just want to see what everyone thinks the Crapalier will put down this time ar ound. Hoping for right around 200whp with the torque not far behind.

i will put my money on 215whp.... my buddy made 205hp @5psi of boost with intake, billz/stanz header and exhaust... here in calgary which is a high elevation...

The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno

Did he have a 5spd or the 4spd auto? Anything over 210whp and I'll do a happy dance. Anything under 200whp and the modding will come to an end for the Z.

I should be going the route you are...instead, for some reason, I'm just waiting until something goes pop before I do a rebuild...Hell I'm not even sure if I would want to rebuild the LD9 with the M45. Guess it depends on if I could find a good deal on and Ecotec and go with the M62.

How are you likin the 35shot with the Eaton? I'm still tryin to decide if I wanna spray a small shot or just go with the h20/alky kits...

5sp... and like i said above, unless you have somthing mojorly wrong or the cams just dont work with this s/c'er you should have no problems making it close and or over 210whp...

why not? im doing 10psi of boost with the turbo/supercharger into the engine on all stock internals.. no sign of slowing down yet... i would say on a good tune 280whp on a stock LD9 is about max so he should be fine espeshially with a GM re-flash, which i would say is one of if not the best tune out there for our cars...

yeah a wrist pin on cylinder 4 went out, well it was just tappin so it didnt go out but close enough. im linking the 35 DRY shot on the elbow that goes right before the medal peice GM charger comes with that goes on the intake mani, its a 35 shot and i was running 14.1 with slight wheel spin off the line (minus rebuild and cams) and this season i have 50,65 and 80 shot nozzles so im deffinatly doing the 50 after the rebuild and hoping for a mid 13 easily, ive heard alotta stuff on this forum that i probally wont hit nothing better than a mid 13 but i dont see how its impossible at all, we will see, anywhere in the 13's ill be happy though. ill need to get a wideband at least for tune since hptuners is in beta stages finally.

Dang boosted...you made just as much torque w/o your M45 as I did with it. Nice.

Our rev limit is 6500rpms as well isn't it? I'm pretty sure it was, but last time I told them to cut the dyno at 6200rpms. Should I have them take it all the way to the limiter this time or not?

try a pull at the limit 6500 and see, i cant remember, thats the only dyno sheet i have, i dont have the actual file anymore cause this was over a year ago. just try and see. how much boost you seeing? im seeing 6psi consistant on the stock pulley with no injection at all.

I'm running the 2.7" pulley for a couple days now and it's seeing right at or a little above 6psi. Car pulls noticebly harder up top (not a dramatic change...but noticeble). I'll more than likely have them run it up to 6500rpms on the first pull and see how the car likes it.

i could never figure why i see more boost on the stock pulley than everyone else, might be the bored 59mm t/b, not sure. deffinatly post that dyno sheet up tomorrow, im looking forward to it.

Hopefully I should have a video or two to go along with the sheet.

your a/f is kinda lean.. looks like high 13's/14's on that last dyno. with the header, cams and smaller pully, might wanna watch out so u dont go to lean and damage.

i think u should be around 215whp.
