Just wondering on what to do with my motor as far as valves, springs, and retainers go. I am going with the wiseco 8.9 to 1 .20 overbore pistons, eagle rods and a mild port and polish of the head. Im going to be running msd to retard timing and am using a T3/T4 turbonetics ballbearing turbo. Greddy Rebic III EIC to add fuel and im hoping to run somewhere in the 20 psi range. Should i upgrade the valves and springs. Gm says the valves are good for more hp then i will be reaching so does that mean i should just get springs and retainers? Im a little new to internals and the ecotec and would like some advise. Thanks in advance....
Depending on how much boost, and what kind of cams you will be running different valve train parts might actually be a good thing to change over.... If you dont want to machine anything and just want to keep it simple to just swapping over to better parts you can go with Dual Valve Springs, Ti Retainers, and New Valve Spring Seats (for the dual springs) . . . . I do have these... just not listed on the website.... I should be able to have more info on these very soon... ie; pricing and specs on the parts... I do have pictures if you are interested in seeing them.....
