boost will be soon for me....
internally wastegated?
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

swing valve would usually mean he has an internally gated turbo ......... ..... if there is a 5 bolt pattern that you can take out and the swing valve assembly comes off with it .... then get another 5 bolt set up and run the gate to it ..... then get a dp made... your set....

Most Likely you have the same turbo I have...which is a Nissan Turbo..which Mine came out of a 1986 300zx V6 Turbo. It is a T3 with the compressor housing on the small side i think its a .50 trim, and a .63 A/R exhaust side (its stamped on the casting). Mine also came with the downpipe swingvavle essembly in one. I had to replace mine also however theres a little trouble in doing this..Its not a standard 5 bolt ford or saab (whatever it is) design...its a Nissan designe which only works for that downpipe.
What your gonna need to do unfortunitly is buy a whole new .63 a/r (or whatever size you want) exhaust housing. Yeah it sucks....i would stick with the same housing size becuase im not sure if your gonna need to change the exhaust turbine wheel if you go smaller A/R. I seriously doubt youll find a wastegate swingvalve assembly to fit the nissan housing.
So to recap, Your gonna need to buy a .63 A/r exhaust housing and a ford style i belive there called swingvalve assembly and i would look int ot getting the plunger actuator also with it. At least thats what i did. I ended up Paying $80.00 on a ebay junkyard turbo and figured..."Hey" I'll just buy a rebuilt kit ($100.00) and rebuild it! NOPE! After the housing and the swingvalve assembly and the kit and a plunger AND a new exhaust turnine shaft/wheel (same peice) which is also a stage 2 wheel, I ended up with a $350.00 turbo =( but its been running great ever since the install and better you be prepared so you know what your getting yourself into!!
Hope this Helps!
Oh i forgot to mentioned.....the reason why i needed a new exhaust wheel/turbine shaft is becuast in the process of rebuilding it i snapped the nut that holds the comprssor wheel to the shaft +( DOH!!! I was pissed!! hehe ah well my screw-up so good luck again!
BTW ..without a intercooler...my ecotec is hitting 5 PSI and a 2 1/2" exhaust it see's full boost around 2800-3200 RPM's but you dont really feel the "Turbo pull" untill around 3800-4000+ RPMs.
