Something went wrong with my engine what ever it is well i found an excuse to built up my engine and turbo my car. but if ima do it might as well go big. I pulled the block out . im going big so i want my engine built right. my question is. what is the best kit for my engine 2.4l . what bore ? best prices ? i will worry about the turbo setup later i do have a t3/t4 though im lookin on boosting up to 20 psi . im getting a nice big fat incom tax check and might as well spend it on something good. and yes i have dont my research its just that everyone has a different idea on what to do . i plan on ordering all the internas and taking it to the machine shop all at once .

???? hurmmmm pistons now which one do i need and would the be cheaper to get them direct from the manufacturer ? to what bore is it safe to run high boost ? doesnt the forged piston have to fit to the bore on the block ?
ok well pistons Check next ? what else should i get that is essential to get ?
looks like Kit C is standard bore and 9:1 compression. I'd go with that for boost.

Why not have a local machine shop/engine rebuilder shop do it for you and you buy the parts?

Yea thats what i plan to do take it to the shop with all the parts that i want put in it. but theres alot of things dont know what is neccecary to make it last at high boost and that has the highest output of power . is there a list or sticky made before for parts to build a high boost enigine ? i got $2700 with my income tax and its all going to it. i may post pictures of every step. ive never had to build up a engine for boost. i had 240sx 98 turbo and a b22 hatch with turbo well i bought them like that just made little upgrades. but i really need some help doing this thanks

9:1 compression is good for a boost application. You don't really have to do an overbore. When you get too big of a bore, especially on a boosted motor, you can run into problems with your cylinder walls being too thin. Your option around that is to re-sleeve the motor but that's up to you.
If you still want to do an overbore, .020 is fine...just remember that you will have to get a shop to machine your block to fit the wider pistons and I believe your head gasket has to be modified or you have to order one to fit the block with a wider combustion chamber.

Ok... for the cams hurmmm they look to be expensive new so i guess ima look for the "secret Cams" for it. my aunt has a broke down 93 Grand amwith 53,000MIles with the 2.3l DOHC will does do ? or do they have to be from a cavy ?
.............. ok well out of all the Turbo cavys if looked up umm i think ive only seen one with some kind of Axels upgrade.... is there a certain company that makes then for High output engines ? cause if seen them turbo civics snap them like nothing. over here in texas there is some fast as imports running 6's in the 1/8 image the 1/4...
How much is it or how much did some of you pay for your head to get ported and polished ? they are charging me $500 over i thinks thats a little too much isnt it ?

no... you can use a stock head gasket on anything up to a .050 overbore. Which, a Cometic MLS will work even better. Plus, o-ringing is a pain in the ass.

Still cant find Axles.....
Juan Morales wrote:Still cant find Axles.....
JBP has axles.
JBP Axles
I guess they're listed for "3rd Gen's" and not specifically listed for particular years/engines. Are all 3rd gen axles the same? *shrugs*
