I had three friends come over two days ago. These are long time friends....... Somewhere in the process of coming and going my HKS 40mm wastegate allong wiht my AEM wideband both went up missing (I had toyed around with both earlier that night so they were there.) This is about 4 months after a set of 19" rims that only my friends new about (sitting outside behind my garage in a bush where NOBODY would accidentally find them) went up missing.
I guess I am going to give up and just face the fact that I own too many expensive performance parts to have friends.
So... I am on the market now for a new wideband AND a new external wastegate and I am extremely pissed about it.
Any suggestions?

As for the wideband, take a look at
www.plxdevices.com, I've read that they're pretty good units and I think you might be able to get a gauge with them. I only say this because I know you have the c/f cup under your steering wheel for a wideband gauge.
I don't have any suggestions for wastegates because I don't know too many brands but I've heard Tial is a good company. But you'd know more about this than I do so I'll leave that up to you.

I'd say get ANOTHER AEM wideband......... they are good....... or the PLX unit like Filip suggested

if possible get something larger................ if you were at 40mm now ......... and you can weld on a new flange to ur mani...................................................get a 45mm or a 50mm........... it will run MUCH better with HIGHER boost applications.................... which your obviously going for .............

I was young and stupid, and dind't understand that AWD cars don't appreciate being made to "drift". And I ended up off the road and in a ditch. In a drift. I left the car there and hitched a ride home. At 3am I got a visit from our neighbor, who happened to be a cop, who happened to see my car in the ditch, and he asked me how many times I rolled my car over, because it was all messed up, and why I didn't report it. Imagine his surprise when I told him I never rolled it. He went back out when the sun came up, and all the windows busted out, everything was beat to hell with a very large sledge hammer. The interior was all cut up, tires slashed, and found finger prints. Lots of them. A reluctant participant who felt guilty and turned himself, along with the others, in. The vandals were people who I thought were my friends. Guys I grew up with, played baseball with, climbed trees with when we were little. They got drunk, were smoking a littel weed, felt a little rowdy, and took it out on my car.

Well, they had to pay restitution, there was full coverage on the car, the insurance wanted to total the car, but I had them write me a check instead. So with the money I got from insurance and restitution, I fixed the car myself and I now have very evil looking, low 12-second car. And no, I didn't tell the insurance company, OR the police how the car got there in the first place.

Self defense does not carry over to the defense of personal property. You can only claim self defense if there is imminate (sp), immediate danger of GREAT bodily harm. It also does not cover you if you are the aggressor.

actually self defense laws differ from state to state. In texas for example you have the LEGAL RIGHT to shoot anyone that is trespassing on your property after dark. This is an old cattle law that is still in effect.
In michigan the only time its legal to use deadly force is if its on your own property, the person has persude you onto your property, and its a very last available cause.
Either way you need to get some new friends. A good and true friend is hard to come by now and days.

In Maryland, the law is that you can only claim "self defense" if the person physically threatens you and is blocking your only way out of your house. Josh really cant do anything besides file a police report...but then again, I doubt that will happen.

I think you need to be in the market for some new friends.
I suggest you confront them about it. If you know for a fact that your stuff only disappeared after they were there, then you know its them. Eiher they give your stuff back, or you take some of their stuff, or make them Klepto's pay for it.
No police report.... no confrontation... The parts will be paid for through their things.
I don't even care which one of them took it. It was either one guy alone which I can find out easilly.... he got picked up by his mom (of all people).. I just have to ask he if he had anything.. she likes me and would rat him out if he stole from me. He is also going away on a ski trip very soon and his brother and I are going to tear his room apart if his mom doesn't recall anything.. just in case.

Because if this one guy didn't do it.... then ther other THREE did it.. and were all in on it.. they all showed up at the same time in the same car and left at the same time. Those three are the guys that I used to play with when I was 6 and have stayed friends with since.. and they recently at random stopped including me in anything... I haven't felt right at all when they are over in the past few weeks and they always come together... I have also caught them lieing to me about some stupid things recently....
So... If I can't find anything on the one guy (again, easy to prove) that means all three of them knew and... to hell with them.. they will pay for it all PLUS some when I sell off their parts that are in my garage like the complete H22 bottom end/intake manifold, turbonetics 38mm wastegate, ect... I should be able to come up with $1000 to cover it all easy.

I'd set them up........ invite them over, have a nice turbo on a bench...... and a camera watching said turbo..... you'll find out real quick who took your stuff....... just make sure you have a sign somewhere saying you have a camera..... cause at least in WI, its illegal to record someone w/o their knowladge...... with a sign, it at least covers you from 'not telling them'.
