i got just the basics right now on my 2.4 with intercooler for right around 1200. but i am only running 6 psi right now and i got to get a few more things for tuning it and then it will be set.. so probalby 2000 most when i get it all said and done.

I'm not sure if its the installation or the maintenance that is more expensive. I've been running 7 psi for about 4 months and I have went through two AFPR's and a fuel pump. Not to mention all the headaches due to my exhaust leak(s), wastegate continually getting stuck open and having to run premium gas.....

Boosted Eco @7psi for now....GTO come spring.....

Like Lee said, there are MANY people on the Org running custom turbo setups. Check out the Boosted J-Body List floating around the boost forum, it'll give you a good idea who has what.

As for cost, it all depends on how much money you have, what deals you'll get, what sales you'll find, etc.; prices always vary. I've seen prices varying from $1000 to $4000, so its all up to you.

You COULD put together a junkyard setup for under $2000. But...not the best level of tuning with just an FMU and FPR.

FMU and FPR < E-manage < Megasquirt. Each are harder to installer, but the Megasquirt is very simple to tune and has a higher tuning capability than the E-manage. Cheaper also.

Correct me if i'm wrong ...... but does Megasquirt have an "AUTO TUNE" feature......... that it automatically changes the parameters to fit a preset desired AFR................

I thought I read that somewhere on here at one point ........

http://www.diyautotune.com. They sell assembled Megasquirt 2 kits for a very fair price, the BEST way to go IMO if you don't want to deal with assembly and soldering.

Megasquirt has a sort of autotune feature. Theres a few software apps that will allow you to take a datalog and analize it based on a desired AFR map and the software makes all the recomended adjustments. You then just load in the new fuel map and datalog agin to get it closer.

Theres also support in the MS&Spark code to have AFR targets too but thoes are not intended to replace a good base map, there more so to compliment it.

Yea. The "Autotune" is more for a baseline tune that you then fine tune to a more accurate extent.
