Hey folks,
I'm planning on installing my undercar neon kit this weekend and I'm wondering where to run the wires underneath? I've found spots to mount the tubes, but no good places to run the wires that aren't exposed...
The front isn't too bad, but I can't seem to find a way to feed the wires without being in the way on the sides and especially the rear!
Is there a way to run the wires without drilling holes all over? ie: In the fenders, up through the car anywhere? Where have you folks run them?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
what year is ur car? i have an 04, and i found holes in the frame i could feed them through all the way to the engine bay. worked pretty good. they are only exposed a little in the front, but i haven't had any problems.
its a pain in the ass, really best way is to jack up each wheel and use lots of zip ties

I'm mounting the tubes in the sideskirts and rear bumper "tabs", and the front is being mounted below the crush gaurd. The front is no problem b/c the wires can be fed up behind the headlights.
As far as the other tubes go...I found some "holes", but they don't quite seem to lead anywhere...
Not too mention the rear doesn't seem to have any good spots to run the wires, especially with my exhaust.
Anybody got a good description of how the did theirs, or pics?

i ran my back wire between the trunk seal never cut the wires and it was easy to run
If you could get access to a hoist it makes the install 10 times esier.
I did mine up on the hoist... but... there are holes everywhere under the car, an 99% of them go to other holes. Just look around. Also, on my driver's side I followed the brake lines, and zip tied the wires to the mounting brackets for the brake lines. Then on the other side, I pretended there were brake lines, ran the wire in the smae spot (cuz it was a great place for em) and zip tied it wherever I could.
I also got some heat-protective wire wrap stuff cuz my wire rested on top of the mufflers heat guard, which shouldnt get too hot, but better safe then sorry.
Since then the neons have be removed and trashed and replaced with LED underbodies. Brighter, more reliable, and the make cool patterns
lol
