I have a pioneere dehp 8400 and I have had it for about 2 years. I was installing it into my sunfire today and I checked the face to make sure that it was working fine. (it's a double face plate system)

Once I have installed it the face will not open anymore. It is not hitting anything and it is clear of all obstructions. Has anyone had any history with this piticular head unit or can anyone give me some ideas on what could be wrong?

Um...is the unit getting power completely? Only other thing, would be try the reset button on the unit. Or, just try to un hook the power for a few minutes, than hook back up and see if it clears it up. The only time I saw that problem, it was a problem with the ribbon cable behind everything, and was too expensive to fix.

i have similar one and i think i had a problem like that when i first bought it, and the reset button fixed it for me. other than that im not sure.

Try to ensure that the faceplate is exactly where it should be. If it moves around a little, you might not have it installed all the way.
