Whats going in....
Alpine IDV300? the Alpine in dash touch screen - already have it
Alpine Type R 6.5 inch copnents - already have them
Alpine Type S 6X9's fot the rear - picking them up in a couple hours
Alpine V12 MRV-F340 - already have it
Alpine Type R 12's (2) in a sealed box - next weekend
Alpine V12 1000 watt rms mono amp - next weekend
Alpine remote control for the head unit - got it yesterday
What else am I missing? also what size wiring shoudl I run? speaker wire from amp to subs and amp to interiors? Main Power and ground wires ect..
ported box instead of sealed youll never look back i never will
BOOOO no rear fill, no need for the 6x9... it ruins the sound of the system IMO.. id go with 2guage amp kit, 10-12 is fine for wiring sub to amp
Looks good. Always have to love how the PS2 fits perfectly in our glovebox.

I wish I had a system
Maybe a capacitor if you feel the need
I have a 1 farad cap already from the last stuff
it's going to sound SWEET...if you want some help I'll be out that way this week, we'll have an install party
Ok so what I've gathered I'm good with all the crap lised in the first post plus the cap, with at least 2 gauge wiring with an ANL fuse and stinger or other quality brand wiring.... anythign else?
Phoenix Gold Basscube...you will love it
Maybe a DTS Processor if you deck supports it

Personally I'd go with 4 gauge wire. But that all depends on the requirements for your amp. Just look at the required gauge for both the ground and power. The smaller the wire, the more flexible it is, thus making it easier to bend and hide, etc...
Other than that, looks like you have a pretty damn sweet setup. Good luck.
I'll agree with install. Also, have fun installing the spr-17ls comps in the doors. Some of the deepest speakers you can buy.
is there anything in those bottles, or are they just pretty?

They used to be in there for show only. I sold 1 bottle, 1 complete kit is for sale, and I'm keeping the other for an IC sprayer.

Make sure you map out your wiring components before you do the install. Count the number of wire terminals and the different types that you need, and how many feet of wire you are going to need. The most frustrating thing about installing stereos is when you have to keep running back and forth to the stereo shop to get terminals and extra wire. Also, buy a couple extra feet of power and ground wire, cause that stuff is next to impossible to solder properly if you're short.
Since you're going all out on the stereo, don't cheap out on the wiring components. Your stereo is only as good as it's weakest link. Wiring is crucial to noise prevention, as well as sound quality. I would highly recommend getting speaker wire terminals that fit into your crossovers, as well as proper terminals for power wire going into your amplifiers, and ring terminals for your ground wires.

more info please... never heard of either one.
and thansk for the input everyone, and I'm not getting all this @!#$ just to cheap out the wiring
bump for my last post right there ^^^^
i wouldn' t worry about getting any sort of bass processor. more likely then not you'll just be adding more distortion then you need.

what about an EQ of some kinda? worth it or don't bother? The head unit has all kinds of adjustment, there is a bunch of equalizer setings, +/- DB settings for lows, mid lows, mids, high mids, and highs, even able to put delays on the speakers in adjustmesnts of miliseconds to make the sound form all the seakers hit you at the exact same time, plus whatever settings are on the amps..... I have no experience with adding an external Eq but I would think there is enough adjustmenste through the head unit that it wouldn't be needed?

The only thing i'd be interested in with one, is the subsonic filter.. If my/your amp doesn't already have one.. Mine doesn't, but i'm still torn on getting a SSF or not.. F-Mods supposedly drop your input voltage a bit, so screw those..
Darkstars... Sound deadening perhaps?
I agree with you, my deck has enough adjustability as is, I wouldn't get a EQ unless I had a whole @!#$ load of comp sets, and midbasses I needed to control..

Cool thanks, and I have 6 or 7 of the Dynamat triangle rolls already spread thorughout
if you're interested in an eq. Check out the audiocontrol website, they have all kinds of eq's and signal processors. I use an EQS 6 channel graphic eq, its a nice little unit.
