Whats up guys.
On my wifes 03 Sunfire she has the monsoon HU with the amp in the trunk.
We're not looking to spend a crazy amount of money on car audio, so I am wondering ....
Is it possible to hook maybe one 12" or even 2 10" subs to that amp? Has anyone attempted this, and what is the sound quality like?

NO NO NO!!!!!!!! lol if you really want a sub do some researching on the site learn a lil about it and go to your local audio shop and listen to some and see what you like and go from there

I'm probably middle of the road for car audio knowledge. I have a single12" sitting here not being used, I guess I am trying to find someone that has used the monsoon amp for anything other than the factory speakers.
Every system I've ever owned has been stolen, so I'm not too eager to jump back into serious system setups. The 6x9s were blown in the sunfire, so I was looking for an alternative to the 6x9s to give a little bit of bass from the back.
If you want to use that 12, you should be able to find a used amp to push it cheap. What model sub is it?

That monsoon amp probably gives out the equivalent of about 10 watts. Not enough to drive anything
Check ebay for refurb amps. And if you keep your sub in the trunk and don't play it loud when you're in your neighborhood or when you're parking in a public place, you should be ok. Unless you have an aftermarket HU which gives it away as well.
