ive had this problem for a while... the 4ga wire i have going to my amps in the trunk is pretty stiff and it causes the battery post on my battery to slowly back out of the battery - which causes a bad connection for the charging system... it is probably really bad for all the components involved... most importantly it keeps causing the battery to die which is annoying as hell
anyone know of any solutions i can try? I bought a scosche battery terminal which i was gonna use for the positive of the battery so that the ring on the 4ga amp power wire didnt cause the battery terminal to spin... any other ideas?
How is the 4gauge attached? GM terminal adaptor?
What I did is get a dual post battery. Use the side posts for the regular gm stuff and use the top post for all my other connections off the battery.
yeah i was trying to avoid buying a new battery...
im using a gm post adapter atm... i bought a new one (thinking the threads were old on the one i had) and it seems to be working now... *crosses fingers*
ditch that battery and get a dual post bat
