Dont know how to fix this.

Ok so i just bought some polk audio 4x6 db461. I was told by my friend that they would most likely fit.

Well i went on crutchfield.com and looked up my car and the speakers and they say they wont fit. Only thing is there is a no return policy for those speakers. so im now stuck with those speakers.

Is there any way to make them fit without showing them off by cuttin up the door panel id rather not get them stolen and i would much rather have them in the stock location.

Any ideas.

When you get them, go ahead and install them and see how the window works. The only way they wouldn't fit would be depth. 4X6 is the stock front door speaker size. If the window goes down and up without issue, there isn't an issue lol. But I haven't seen many 4X6's that are that deep.

Well i know the front stock speakers are 4x6 thats why i ordered them lol. But yeah im talking about the depth of them cause if there too deep it will stop the window from coming down all the way. I guess ill just wait for them to arrive and see if they fit. If not ill be coming back to quiz u guys on how to make them work.

Im def. not putting the blown stock POS's back in.

Thanks for the info ill get back with you.

Spacers. Simple as that if they are too deep.

You can go up to like a 3/4 inch spacer and still be fine. I had trouble with 3/4 inchers but everyone else has made them fit.

basically if it doesnt drop in perfectly and match the stock screw holes crutchfield will tell you it wont fit. as said a simple spacer will likely solve the problem.
