how do i put in a 2nd battery? can i just connect the wires or do i need some thing to regulate it?
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? run a positive from the front battery to the rear, ground the rear battery to a clean spot, or run a ground from the front battery to the back.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

car audio noob since 1984.
Youll need a battery isolator if you plan on running the system just off the rear battery for long periods of time. Like say if you were to completely drain the rear. Otherwise you wont.
You might be better off with a bigger alt too since your alt will be killing itself trying to charge two batteries.
ive got a red top optima under the hood right now. i got 4 12" type r in the trunk with 2 1500.1 kicker amps and a 6f power cap that just cant seam to handle it. i got my subs out for the winter and wanted to put in a battery in.
what can i do for alt mods?
remove the power cap for starters.... and post pics of the 4 12"s in the trunk i want to see this.... look into kinetic for batteries. get like an hc 2000 for the turnk and youll be golden. also you going to need a 200+ amp alt for those amps.

Its nothing spectacular its just me playing around for the summer never really got to play it to what it could do cuz it kept cuting out. Power caps really don't do much. Its a start tho.
I'm trying to put a saab kit on it over the winter and paint it.
Its whatever. Just 4 12s sealed.
I, wow. wow.

before you go getting another battery try to clean up your install and remove the cap and recharge your battery. its probly just because the cap is constantly drawing juice that your system really doesnt have any real power to feed off of. remove the cap and report back with the results.

the system sounded fine i just know it has more cuz the amps are a half and the bass isnt even turned up on the deck. the deck goose up to 35 for the volume and when u go past 22-24 it cuts out (not the deck the subs)
yes the cap stays on i got a 300 amp fuse on the line
i got 2 subs wired down to 1ohm on one amp and the same for the other
and my install was cleaned up i had an amp on the left side of the box and the other on the right. the cap on the back of the seat along with the 4ch mtx amp running 2 6.5 kappa infinity's in the back and 2 4x6 kappas in the front. the 1st video was just my 1st test try and in the 2nd video i didn't even have it up a 1/4 the way
the system is put away for the winter thats why i wanted to put another battery in.
how good is a power cap tho?
