question about radio and bcm

Hey guys, I got a hold of a wreck 02 ls sport. I stripped it down and will be using the components to due an engine swap on my 00 base cav. The base cav had the stock cassette player w/o cd. My question is, If i want to use the radio from the ls sport on my cav. can I swap the bcm as well so i dont have to take it to the dealership to have it unlock? Not sure if the bcm acts together with the pcm.
My cav has no power windows or locks.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Yes, but you'll have to re-sync the BCM and PCM to each other... or the Passlock will prevent the car from running. See the FAQ article on Passlock for the how-to.

The mileage from the BCM you're using is what will be displayed on the cluster... once you reflash the Passlock and start it for the first time. This is good if you're swapping the engine from the same car as the mileage will reflect what is on the drivetrain... but this is bad because it won't be accurate for the rest of the car.

Thanks a lot John. Im planning on swaping the drivetrain as well so i guess it would be ok.
