help me out audio guru's

Ok guys,
I'm not one on here to ask for help much because I usually can find my question in searching, but searching yielded nothing.

I have never done a whole sound system before, just usually not my thing.
But right now I'm getting sick of the stock speakers.
And it wouldn't hurt for shows either
So I have a few questions.
I have found some speakers I like the sound of(buddies car), and I was just wondering if for sure they would fit(depth ect.).

Now I know the front speakers are 4x6 and the rears are 6x9, but will these fit?
it's the depth of the door speakers I'm worried about mostly

along with these

Next thing I want to know is this.
I have searched for anybody talking about the kicker comp c10's, and it only yielded one guys sharing his setup in a "what do you have" thread.
So has anybody used them?
they are a very decent price, and I like 10's a lot.

I'm wanting to probably do just one comp 10, would a sealed box compliment this?
If so, roughly what size sealed box would?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now, what kind of budget and what kind of sound are you going for? If you are looking for a good clean, well rounded sound quality set up. I think a good starting point would be a decent amped set of front components, and a better sub suited for a sealed box. A single Fi Q, Alpine Type-R, or JL W3 come to mind.

You can easily fit some good components up front if your budget will allow it. Leave the rear speakers stock, running off head unit power and fade to the front a bit. Rear speakers are not going to help imaging or sound quality.

medium budget, I just want some quality speakers that will last me a while.

As far as sound, Yes, I want a clean crisp sound,
not aftermarket sounding like a lot of speakers,
something OEM sounding that would come in a nicer car then a J lol
Nothing outrageous.

So the comp 10 is not a good sealed box sub?
Is it better for a ported enclosure?

So there is no need to upgrade the rear deck speakers? just the front?
Are those kickers a good choice?

Thanks for the help

Give me a budget. The ultimate way to pick speakers is to test and hear some... but if you are as detailed in describing what you want out of them, and what budget you have for everything, the better it will be to recommend what will fit you best. Kicker speakers I wouldn't recommend honestly. Too many better options for the price.

The first thing I want to replace is the door speakers,
And I would like to stay under 90$ for them

There are multiple out there that will fit. Makeing a spacer for a large mid/midbass opens alot of options.

www.powermaxelectronics.com go there and find the Cadence CWM-6Kit. I can personally vouch for those speakers. Nothing in that price range comes close in sound quality. Amp them with 90-150 watts RMS and they will make you feel like you got your money's worth and then some.

Just try not to jack this guy's thread too much.

I have the PG RSD 6cs comps currently in my cavy. Nothing but good reviews on them, and for the price which is under 70 shipped, they are a great value. The 6.5 comps are also under 90 at 76 shipped and under. They also work well off deck power , or can be amped if you desire. Just another option.

by the way, if you need to find out if speakers will fit your car...

Crutchfield

Fill in your information in the drop down boxes and it will tell you what speakers will fit in your car and head units as well
