I've re-wired the amp but its still blowing fuses.
Everything is turned down/off, no subs hooked up.
No remote wire is even hooked up.
Just by connecting the 12V and Ground it blows fuses.
I even had a 30A and a 40A and it blew them.
Is my amp a goner?
Or is there something else I can try?
BTW its a Bazooka 500watt

Make sure there's no short in the power wire. If there isn't, then bury it in the back yard.
im thinking there is a short somewhere in the amp itself and youve got yourself a huge paperweight
"I did it because I wanted to see what it would look like. You should be greatful that I even told you that it would look good. If your to dumb to use photoshop and change the color of your own car then you don't need to see it changed. I'm not going to give my work away. I'll sell the pic to you though for $15."-Adam Kalin
^^JBO is about not being that guy
yeah I dont understand how.
It was running fine.
I took it out and my smaller 200watt amp out to upgrade from 8gauge to 4gauge.
When I wired it all up, the 200watt worked. But the 500watt blew both fuses.
And keeps doing it.
I have an idea.. but its snowing and I have no more fuses so it'll have to wait.

check your wires or change your wires.. you may have a cut somewhere. and make sure your running the right fuse for your amp. ever thing you have the wires crossed?
]
Which fuse is blowing, under the hood, or in the amp itself?
amp itself,
It might be the wire going from the splitter to the amp, because when I tried it with the 200watt, it shut it down.
I have to get some more wire and then I will try again.
