so you need a tech sheet for your car? do you know how to test for each function to make sure its the right wire?
not at all but will learn
Check out www.the12volt.com
They have all the diagrams and wire charts you will need.
Bulldogsecurity.com has good tech sheets

If anyone happens to live near Punxsutawney Pa, I am willing to install a DEI product for free. I think its time to post a "PROFESSIONAL HOW-TO REMOTE START INSTALLATION" thread.

^^^i agree i went to those sites and i cant understand all of that stuff. plus they do not tell you our cars
and that is why i asked if you knew how to test functionality lol.
menniti you feel like doing a tutorial
Yeah I can write up a tutorial. I just think that the people who need it won't understand it without pictures to refer to. I did a how-to for the 2k+ headlight conversion a few years ago which dealt with only 6 wires and 2 relays and got questions constantly, and some people complaining that it didn't work....so we need to make it as simple as we can.

lol i forgot about relays that might get alot of people even though they are super simple
I installed 3 sets of power door locks and viper keyless systems in 3 Jbodys now. I want remote start, but i have a stick. (the bypass is to much to worry about)
the clutch bypass is easy....i did it on my car with no problems...but DONT LEAVE YOUR CAR IN GEAR!!! Stephen....its great you want to learn and install this yourself but if you really dont know what your doing you shouldnt try it unless you got some one with you walking you through it. Its not that hard but you can seriously F up your car by taping in to the wrong wire.....Dont mean to be an ass but you cant even understand the diagram....even with pics you still gotta know how to test the wires, and if you run into a problem you might not even be able to diagnose it. Just dont put yourself in over your head......my 2 cents..
