i have been looking at the jensen flip out that circuit city carries, the touch screen model
it sells for like 399 i think,
does any one on here have it, and if so what do u guys think of it, worth it or now
I have heard good things about them. The only thing I heard bad about them is that the volume knob sometimes act up.
Jensen = grabage.
I wouldn't buy ANYTHING with the Jensen name on it

touch screen stops working, cd/dvd inlet stops accepting discs, buttons stop working, etc
Its so tempting to cheap out on the hu screens....but, it will catch up with you. Do it once and do it right.
Hate to be a thread jacker here and all but i also have been lookin at all the flip outs and was wondering what you guys think is a good choice?
i have an Alpine touch screen, I don't think they sell the model anymore as its like 3 years old but I've never had any issues what so ever, it came with a big price tag but I couldn't be happier with it. My ONLY complaint is it was back before the i-pod/mp3 craze got so popular so theres no plug and play ipod hook up, but then again know days thats pretty much standard. my tan cav was strictly am/fm, no tape or cd player so I bought a chepa $100 kenwood and even that has an ipod hook up built in lol.
But yeah, can't wrong with Alpine, they aren't chepa but you get what you pay for.
Yeah I looked at a few of the alpie units and they seemed really nice. Also been tryin to decide if the flip out or the double din screen was the way too go, to be honest i am just lookin at something that plays everything i want to play and is good quality. I really dont have to have ipod or navi. also really dont want to spend anymore more then say 900 for one either. oh yeah and any help on were to find some online would be great, the local stores dont have a great selection other then the jensen models.
One of my friends worked at a local audio shop... said they came back like crazy when i asked him about buyin one if they were good, says the motor goes out in em alot for the screen to come out, volume acts up, touch screen stops working.. ect. ect... overall id say save the money, buy a better one...

from people doing research 2000+ can fit double din no problem. there piks on here with people with double din
in my 04 i have a alpine iva w205 that is double din and the only prob i had with it was the depth of the head unit. a little trimming with a dremel and its perfect
