I noticed that the CD button also has AUX written on it. Is there an auxilary input on the back on the 03 head unit? And does anyone have pictures of it if there is? I'm wanting to fiberglass a 'cradle' for my ipod into the center console so that I can basically dock it in the car, but I'd need to know what type of input the head unit has so I know what wire to get. TIA

honestly your better off buying a new HU...dont waste your time. Was sat radio an option foe your car? if it is then thats where you would need your "hook up" trick the system to think its sat radio....just buy a new radio
As far as I know, it wasn't. So yeah, I figured I'd be buying a new HU. Oh well.. that's what I wanted to know before jumping into it. Thanks guys.

XM satellite radio was an option on the newer cavaliers. I know it was on my 04. To use the "Aux" input, you need a special interface box, which isn't really worth it. I agree with illdwes . on that one. I used a pioneer deck and bought a cheap aux adapter on eBay for a few bucks. The overall quality of an after market deck is definitely worth the money.
